For almost 100 years, couples have found Lake Junaluska the ideal
location for gathering friends and family for their wedding
celebration. Ideally nestled in the mountains of Western North
Carolina, Lake Junaluska is the perfect backdrop for your keepsake
wedding. We are convenient to the Asheville Airport and centrally
located between Charlotte, Knoxville, and Atlanta, making it easy for
out of town guests to join your celebration. With facilities to meet all
of your needs, we look forward to helping you plan your special day.
Ceremony VenuesMemorial ChapelThe Memorial Chapel is Lake Junaluska’s most photographed building. It is located lakeside and offers a spectacular setting for religious ceremonies such as baptisms, bible studies and private prayer times. It’s also the perfect location for a keepsake wedding.
Chapel Capacity: 200-225 Fee: 7 am – 11 am: $950; 12 pm – 4 pm: $1450; 5 pm – 9 pm: $1250
The Room of Memory is adjacent to the Chapel and may be used as a waiting area or as a site for a small wedding. Guests should refrain from using this facility as a dressing room because it is an area of worship.
Room of Memory Capacity: 35 Fee: On Sunday only: $350; Monday – Saturday, Chapel rates apply.
Denman Prayer RoomThe Denman Prayer Room, located in the Lambuth Inn, is used primarily for small, intimate weddings.
Seating Capacity: 15-20 Fee: $140.00
Inspiration PointInspiration Point is an outdoor facility which is beautifully landscaped. It is located on the west lawn of Lambuth Inn overlooking the Cross. This area works well for small to medium weddings. Inspiration Point offers exceptional views of the Cross, the lake and the mountains.
Seating Capacity: 100 Fee: $395 (Includes first 50 chairs. Additional chairs may be reserved at a fee.)
AmphitheaterThe Amphitheater is an outdoor facility, located at the foot of the Cross. The location of the Amphitheater provides a spectacular backdrop overlooking the mountains and the lake.
Seating Capacity: 200 Fee: $395.00
ColonnadeThe Colonnade is an outdoor facility, located conveniently between the Rose Walk and Kern Auditorium. This lakeside location offers a pan-oramic view of the mountains and the lake. It will accommodate small to medium weddings.
Seating capacity: 75-150
Fee: $395 (Includes first 50 chairs. Additional chairs may be reserved at a fee.)
All Lake Junaluska wedding facilities are to be utilized for Christian weddings. Persons involved in the wedding and the rehearsal should conduct themselves in a reverent and respectful manner, with due regard for the sacredness of the occasion and the care of the Lake Junaluska facilities. Lake Junaluska will be responsible for cleanliness of all weddingfacilities. Persons planning the wedding are responsible for leaving the facilities in good condition. The Altar, Pulpitchairs and organ in the Chapel may not be moved at anytime.
Reception VenuesShackford HallThis space may be used for both ceremonies and receptions. Hors d’oeuvres (or reception foods) are the recommended menu items here as all other menu selections carry a surcharge due to the limited facilities in this building. Outside catering is not allowed in this building. Seating capacity for the auditorium area is 180 persons set with round tables.
Lambuth International RoomThe Lambuth International Room is located in our historic Lambuth Inn. This large room can be opened up to hold 150 guests or divided up into three separate meeting spaces suitable for a rehearsal dinner. This space may also be used for both ceremonies and receptions. Many wedding parties choose to use this as their rain back-up for weddings being held at Inspiration Point or the Amphitheater. All menu items are available in this room. Seating capacity for the International Room is 150 persons using round tables.
Terrace AuditoriumThe Terrace Auditorium has lots of versatility for everything from a formal, served dinner to a fun and lively hors d’oeuvres reception with a DJ. All menu options are available for this space due to its proximity to the kitchen. Many wedding parties choose to utilize the outside balcony overlooking the lake as part of their reception. Lake Junaluska must provide the catering services in this space.
Harrell Center AuditoriumThe Harrell Center is open and welcoming with expansive views of the lake and the Retreat Center. Large double windows and a café-style patio lend to an open and inviting feel. Hors d’oeuvres are the recommended menu selection for the Harrell Center Auditorium. Large picture windows overlook the lake. We can provide other menu options; however, a surcharge does apply. Lake Junaluska must provide the catering services in this space. Seating capacity for this room is 200 persons, set banquet style.
Edgewater BistroThe Edgewater Bistro boasts the same beautiful view as the Harrell Center Auditorium, as well as a fresh face lift during the winter of 2007. The outside patio area may be used by guests to enjoy the Lake breezes and fresh air. All catering options are available here. Lake Junaluska must provide the catering services in this space. Seating capacity for this area is 75 for a buffet style meal and 80 for a plated dinner. All tables must remain in the dining facilities, regardless of the size of the reception party.
Susan Todd LoungeSusan Todd Lounge, located upstairs in the Harrell Center, offers a small, intimate location for your wedding reception. Guests may enjoy the private, outside patio area which overlooks the lake. Hors d’oeuvres are the recommended menu item here, since the room is rather small. Other menu items are possible; however these items do carry an extra charge. Lake Junaluska must provide the catering services in this space. Seating capacity in this room is 40 people for a reception.
Lodge at Camp AdventureThe Campground Lodge is a nice addition to our Camp Adventure Campground, located just on the opposite side of High-way 19. The Lodge features a large stone fireplace and neutral-colored wood walls. Guests may also enjoy visiting on the Lodge’s porch, complete with rocking chairs and overlooking the Lake. This facility does have a small kitchen facility and outside catering is an option in this venue. With Round tables, the seating capacity for this room is 40 people.
Kern Youth Center AuditoriumThe Kern Youth Center is located conveniently between the Colonnade and the pool/parking areas. The Youth Center Auditorium is a very versatile room that gives the option of many different room layouts and table arrangements. With large windows at lake level, it also makes a perfect rain back-up location (fees apply). Outside catering is an option in the Youth Center and the seating capacity is 110 people.
Bridal Portrait SessionsIf you are interested in having your bridal portraits taken at Lake Junaluska, please contact the Wedding Coordinator. This can be arranged, some sessions carry a small fee for booking a private space.
Weddings at Lake Junaluskad Weddings must be legal according to North Carolina General Statutes.
d Weddings are NOT booked in the Chapel when Stuart Auditorium or the tent area (during the summer season) is being utilized by groups or conferences due to noise interference.
d Lake Junaluska only provides a facility for weddings. The Wedding Party is responsible for details; i.e. decorations, musicians, clergy, wedding planners, etc.
d Weddings are allotted a four-hour time slot. This includes setup, usage, and cleanup.
d When available, additional time may be reserved for $100 per hour. Additional time can only be reserved within 14 days of event.
d Rehearsals are allotted a 1 ½ hour time slot.
d Lake Junaluska is not responsible for any items left at any facility during rehearsals or weddings.
d Decorations should not be placed in your venue prior to your four-hour allotted time slot.
d The Bishop’s Lounge (behind Stuart Auditorium stage) or a room in either the Terrace Hotel or Lambuth Inn may be used as a dressing room depending upon availability. $50.00 fee for the usage of the Bishop’s Lounge and $80.00 for the usage of a room in either the Lambuth or Terrace hotels. NOTE: The Bishop’s Lounge is not available for use during the winter months.
d Lake Junaluska does not allow open flames in any facilities. Battery operated tea lights and candles may be utilized.
Paymentd A non-refundable deposit of $100.00 on all rentals is required within 30 days of booking the event with Lake Junaluska.
d Full payment is required within 30 days of booking if wedding is scheduled for the current year.
d Full payment is required within 90 days from date of booking if wedding is booked for one or more years in advance.
d ALL payments are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Failure to return contract and deposit within 30 days of booking will cancel the event
Reception Informationd Receptions are allotted a four-hour time slot (this includes setup and cleanup). Please be aware that your four-hour time slot begins when you begin decorating your ceremony venue.
d When available, additional time in your reception facility may be reserved for $100.00 per hour. Additional time may only be reserved within 14 days of event.
d The reception facility is complimentary with a minimum food purchase.
d A setup fee of $100.00 is applicable to all reception facilities and is due as the deposit.
d Lake Junaluska does not allow open flames in any facilities. Battery-operated or plug-in candles may be used.
d Guest may provide wedding cake. Lake Junaluska Food Service must provide all other foods. No outside food (other than wedding cake) may be bought in from an outside source due to local health regulations.
d NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES are permitted anywhere on Lake Junaluska grounds.
d All reception food selections must be submitted at least 30 days prior to event.
d All receptions are subject to an 18% gratuity.
d All receptions are subject to North Carolina sales tax.

Pricing • A customary service charge of 18% will be added to all prices shown on this menu. • North Carolina State sales tax will be added. • Prices are subject to change without notice. • Custom menus may incur additional charges.
Guarantees • A guarantee of the number of attendees is required a minimum of 2 weeks in advance of any meal, function, or reception. Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday events must be guaranteed no later than 9:00 a.m. on the preceding Friday. • Guarantees may not be lowered after this time frame. • Minimum guarantee for a buffet meal is 40 people.
Payment • Payments for all food service charges are payable to the Wedding Sales Coordinator prior to the event date.
Special Requirements • Special requirements and customized meals must be finalized with the Wedding Sales Coordinator at least 30 working days before your function date
No outside food or beverage may be brought in due to local health regulations.
