‘Simmba’ crosses Rs 350 crore mark in 16 days worldwide

MUMBAI, Jan 13:

Ranveer Singh-starrer"Simmba" has collected over Rs350 crores at the global box officewithin 16 days of its release.

According to the makers, thefilm is on a record-breaking spreeand now ranks among the top 10Bollywood domestic box officehits of all time.

The film is presented byReliance Entertainment in associ-ation with Dharma Productionsand Rohit Shetty Picturez.

Directed by Rohit Shetty,Ranveer plays a corrupt cop,Sangram 'Simmba' Bhalerao inthe film, who chooses the right-eous path after a life-changingevent. With "Simmba",Shetty has become the first direc-tor to have eight consecutive filmsenter the Rs 100 crore net domes-

tic box office club. He is the sec-ond director in India with threefilms to enter the Rs 200 croreclub, according to the makers.

"It feels incredible to see theexcitement and fabulous responseof the audience for 'Simmba' incinema halls everywhere. I amhappy with the appreciation thefilm is garnering," the directorsaid in a statement.

Shibasish Sarkar of RelianceEntertainment thanked his part-ners and Singh for "creating ahugely entertaining film that hasdelivered great joy to audiencesthrough the holiday season andbeyond".

Dharma's Johar called the film"officially our biggest hit".
