NewLondonHospitalisa25-bedruralcommunityhospitalwitha58-bedlong-termextendedcarecenter.InAprilof2003webecameaCriticalAccessHospital.Thebedsmaybeusedforacutecareaswellasswingbeds(forpatientswhoneedhospitalization,butarenotconsideredacutecarepatients).

NewLondonHospitalisamemberoftheNewEnglandAllianceforHealth(NEAH).NEAHisaconsortiumof11memberorganizationsinVermont,NewHampshireandMassachusetts.Itoffersmemberservicesintheareasofqualityimprovement,financialplanning,benchmarking,materialsmanagement,pharmacyservices,educationanddevelopmentforprofessionalstaffandtrustees,collaborativeregionalhealthplanning,andaccesstopropertyandcasualtyinsurance.

CollaborativeagreementswiththeDartmouth-HitchcockMedicalCenterandConcordHospitalhelpusmeettheneedsofthosepatientswhorequireatertiarycaresetting.Theseagreementsalsoallowustobringmanyservicestoourpatientsandthecommunitythatareusuallyonlyfoundinlargerhospitals.

WILLIAMP.CLOUGHExTENDEDCARECENTERAttheWilliamP.CloughExtendedCareCenteratNewLondonHospital,wearecommittedtohighstandardsofcare.Wearesmallenoughtoknowalloftheresidentsandtheirfamilies.Ourskilledcareprogramisdesignedasatransitionprogramforpatientswhoareabletoreturntotheirhomeorassistedcarelivingsituations.Agroupofthreehospitalists(medicaldoctorswithaspecialinterestingeriatrics)provideson-sitecaretotheresidentsfivedaysaweek.Thefacilityhaslargespaciousroomswithwidehallwaysandrampsforeasywheelchairaccess.LocatedinthesamebuildingasNewLondonHospital,emergencymedicalcareisliterallyonlysecondsaway.Fromthelinentableclothsinthediningroomtodailyone-on-onecompanionshipandsocialactivities,wemaketheWilliamP.CloughExtendedCareCenterlikehome.Theresidentsdon’tliveinourfacility.Weworkintheirhome.

NEWLONDONFAMILYCARECENTERATGRANTHAMDesignedfortheresidentsofGranthamandthesurroundingcommunities,theNewLondonFamilyCareCenteratGranthamopenedinNovember2005.ItislocatedinSawyerBrookPlazaat120Route10,Grantham,andprovidesfullservicehealthcarewithafamilyfocus.Afamilypracticephysicianoraphysician’sassistantisonsitefourdaysaweekandtheofficeisstaffedfivedaysaweekfrom8am-5pm,toprovidefulltimeaccessforappointments,copiesofrecords,prescriptionrefills,etc.andtofacilitateappointmentsintheNewLondonofficeifnecessaryforacutevisits.

NEWLONDONPEDIATRICCARECENTERLocatedintheMedicalAssociatesBuilding,theNewLondonPediatricCareCenter(NLPCC)isapatient-focusedmedicalpracticespecializinginpediatricsandadolescenthealthcarefortheDartmouth-LakeSunapeeRegionincollaborationwithChildren'sHospitalatDartmouth(CHaD).ThegoalofNLPCCistoprovidehighqualityhealthcarewithanemphasisonpreventiveandprimarycareservices.Pediatriciansspecializeinthesickandwellcareofchildrenofanyage,frominfantstocollege.

NEWLONDONHOSPITALSPORTSMEDICINEANDPHYSICALREHABILITATIONCENTERTheSportsMedicineandPhysicalRehabilitationCentersprovideawiderangeofservicesincoordinationwithotherprogramsintheLakeSunapeeregion.Servicesandprogramsareforpeopleofallageswithawidevarietyofconditions.State-of-the-arttherapyandspecializedservicesareprovided.
