We are aware that many Manor families send their children to the various youth teams run by Wealdstone F C. Having previously provided funding for kit, we have now ensured the Grosvenor Vale site is used for sport and youth activities by

including the grounds as part of the Ruislip Green ChainRuislip Green ChainRuislip Green ChainRuislip Green Chain, which runs from New Pond Parade to Herlwyn open space. Cllr Douglas Mills said, "I have worked closely with the Board of Wealdstone FC to ensure that sport is protected in planning law as the permitted usage at Grosvenor Vale and to avoid any speculative housing development. Wealdstone are a proud club and I'm delighted to have them supporting our wider Manor community."

As your councillors, we pride ourselves on all living within a mile of Ruislip Manor station and on being able to get things done to ensure that we deliver on Putting our Residents First. In addition to dealing with over a hundred individual issues for residents in the past year, we have kept you informed throughout the last four years, as shown by the various In Touch community bulletins we have delivered to your door. We believe residents expect us to be active throughout our term of office and not just a few weeks before elections.

In our last In Touch (Nov 13) we promised to ask for additional funding to have more Manor roads resurfaced. Cllr Mike Markham said, "Because we are able to influence the key decision makers, Thurlstone Road, Paignton Road and Willow Gardens have all been recently resurfaced. This follows resurfacing in Seaton Gardens, Dartmouth, Flamborough, Dulverton, Beverley and Filey Waye.” We will continue to identify other Manor roads that can be included in further programmes.

Several residents have told us that they wish there was a bank in the Manor. Following on from the opening of the new Main Post Office in Victoria Road, it has now been announced that residents will be able to open a Post Office current account at Ruislip

Manor.

Cllr Susan O’Brien said, "This is further good news for residents and the recent introduction of the Seven Day Switching Service for bank customers has provided a fresh opportunity for those who

wish to have their bank in Victoria Road."
