What is Title I?
• Purpose • Provide additional resources to assist
schools to ensure that all children are provided a high quality education that will enable all children to exceed the performance standards.
What is Title I?
• Qualification• All Title I schools must have at least
35% of the campus student population identified as coming from low income households according to the student’s eligibility for the free and reduced lunch program.

Parent Involvement Policy
• The district and Title I campuses should update and approve the Parent Involvement Policy each year with the input of parents.
• All campuses must communicate this policy to parents.
Statement of Purpose
• Conroe ISD is committed to excellence.
• The District will develop and maintain a partnership with students, parents, and teachers.
• Our goal is to create an atmosphere where all students in the district succeed.
Meeting for Parents
• A meeting for parents will be held to provide information about grade appropriate expectations.
• Schools will also provide campus specific Title I program information to the parents of all students.
The Home-School Compact(Required for all Title I Campuses)
• Be developed jointly with parents and students.
• Describe responsibilities of students, parents, and the school.
• Convey the importance of establishing ongoing communication.
• Address Student Performance.
Matching Programs to the Needs
• The school will assess the needs of parents and children in the community.
• Programs will be created or refined to match the expressed needs at each campus.
• Parents will be notified of parent education opportunities.
Staff/Parent Communications
• Teachers and staff will be encouraged to communicate in a timely manner.
• Parents will be encouraged to take the initiative.
• Notices in English and Spanish will be sent home when necessary.
