Whether they are searching for direction, a major, experiences, or a job, this site will help them out.

    There are 16 short online adventures with multiple resources and a lesson guide to print and fill out as they go.

    In the four adventures under Searching for Experience, students are encouraged to go out and DO things. Those include doing an informational interview, visiting a workplace, getting an internships and finding a volunteer experience in their communities.

    ***Hand out Activity #5: Career Clues Booklet

    In this booklet, you will find ideas and direction to help students gather and analyze their career clues for success. You can have students use the activities independently, in small groups, or as large group assignments- in the classroom or workshop- these informal, action-learning activities encourage students to use a variety of resources as they search to resolve their career dilemmas.

    Look through the booklet and explain to the person sitting next to them the one that best suits their students.*

    Hand out Activity #6: MissingMajor.Com Booklet

    If you flip the book over, you will see that going the opposite direction are activities related to the Missing Major. In this booklet, just like Career Clues, the left hand page houses suggestions on how to use the activity. The right-hand page is the student page and can be photocopied from the booklet or downloaded from wblconnections.com.

    Turn to the third activity, Campus Connections, and tell the person sitting in front of you how many of the campus resources you think your students are using. *We have shared with you many resources that we hope will help make your classes more interesting and relevant. While it may seem like a lot, if you sign up for On the QT, you will get information and resources as well as simple activities to help you. The WBLConnections.Com site houses all the information you have seen today. So, if you become familiar with this site, it can be your go to place for the best career information and resources.

    Handy Activities for Students Success, gives you 10 great activities and especially emphasizes the work-based learning opportunities you will want to share with your students.

    CareerClues.Org and MissingMajor.Com are two very interactive sites that you must review and use. If you are looking to add extra credit assignments to your classes, these are perfect.
