It is my great pleasure to present the first edition of Alkaram Textile Mills (AKTM) quarterly newsletter, which is called ‘ALKARAM INSIDER’ with an aim to keep our internal stakeholders abreast of all the activities, developments & achievements in the third quarter of year 2019. The manuscripts in this edition cover a wide scope of areas and is a step towards creating a more open and viable communication platform for this organization. Home Fashions Market Week was held in the Alkaram New York showroom. A fantastic opportunity to show off all of the gorgeous capabilities, trend and innovation that Al-Karam brings to the market as well as to interact and collaborate with our many retail partners, and this year was no exception!
A new, huge wall at our entrance
highlighting all of the incredible energy-saving and CSR initiatives at the mill, as well as our amazing partnerships.
03 gorgeous, elevated trend concepts focusing on both an overarching “lifestyle” analysis called ‘The Balance of Self and Home’ as well as stunning aesthetic visuals for our customers to keep informed of what is coming.
03 stunning collections with layers of amazing fabrics were showcased including a “prairie” statement, one evoking a modern hippie aesthetic, and the last being jersey knits in an array of offerings for both BTS and elevated adult looks.
An update to our “House of Sheets”, where we highlight a wide array of capabilities in sheets, this years’ newness including a “beauty fiber”, hemp, charcoal, cashmere and silk among many other offerings.

Making an Impression Williams Sonoma Inc. Visit Alkaram
Being their biggest vendor in Pakistan, Williams Sonoma Inc. (WSI) came for a short factory visit to espy the potential, capacities & capabilities of Alkaram Textile Mills. The esteemed delegation from WSI Singapore was led by Ms. Leng Leng Lee (VP Global Operations - WSI) and Ms. Dicle Arslan (Divisional Merchandise Manager - WSI).
They were briefed by Mr. Rahat Mazhar (Business Unit Head Woven – AKTM) on the streamlined work flow processes, quality control measures and the best practices encouraged at Alkaram Textile Mills.
