The conference name was selected via a PMRG member survey – the clear winner from the six potential options. CONNECT reflects PMRG’s commitment to bringing together people who are dedicated to evolving market researchers’ relevancy and reach. PMRG leaders believe the new name brings together the three pillars of its mission – community, advocacy and advancement – into one word. It also reflects the leadership’s focus on helping members connect with new ideas and innovations across various segments within and beyond the healthcare industry.

Introducing PMRG’s 2015 Healthcare Marketing Researchers ConnectMarch 15-17

Minneola, Fla.—The Pharmaceutical Marketing Research Group (PMRG) recently revealed a new name for its Annual National Conference (ANC). The newly revamped and renamed conference, PMRG’s 2015 Healthcare Marketing Researchers Connect, will take place March 15-17, 2015 at the Gaylord Hotel in National Harbor, MD.

The conference name was selected via a PMRG member survey – the clear winner from the six potential options. CONNECT reflects PMRG’s commitment to bringing together people who are dedicated to evolving market researchers’ relevancy and reach. PMRG leaders believe the new name brings together the three pillars of its mission – community, advocacy and advancement – into one word. It also reflects the leadership’s focus on helping members connect with new ideas and innovations across various segments within and beyond the healthcare industry.

Each spring, PMRG’s conference gathers global marketing research professionals to highlight macro industry issues, challenges and strategic implications associated with a relevant marketing research theme. This year’s theme of “Next Level Thinking: Broaden Your Insights, Optimize Your Impact,” reflects the conference’s transformation. It also reflects PMRG’s ongoing efforts to adapt to the rapidly changing healthcare environment. Efforts this year include a strategic review with global consulting firm ZS Associates, ongoing conversations with members and careful consideration of the results of PMRG’s annual member survey.

The conference will usher in several new features and bring together attendees from a range of sectors, including medical device and healthcare payers. Leading-edge keynote speakers include Stefani Klaskow, Head of Industry Healthcare at Google, (presenting Reimagining Healthcare) and Gautam Jaggi, Lead Analyst, Health & Life Sciences & Editor of Progressions, Ernst & Young (presenting Implementing Change in Healthcare’s Rapidly Changing Ecosystem).

New collaborations will facilitate connections with members of the Pharmaceutical Management Science Association (PMSA) and Qualitative Research Consultants Association (QRCA), both of whom will have a presence at the conference. PMRG’s meeting of the organization’s newly formed Leadership Advisory Council will also take place at the conference.

In addition, the conference will include broader content as well as new and improved networking activities. PMRG will provide attendees with a better understanding of how changes to the healthcare landscape affect framing and prioritization of key business issues, how to best address key business questions from a methodological standpoint, how to utilize new data technologies, and how to synthesize and leverage insights within a broader business model and context. As appropriate, cross-sector examples will be used to help illuminate the ways in which other industries have met challenges similar to those now confronting the healthcare industry.

Derived directly from PMRG member requests, presentations will address specific challenges and opportunities facing domestic and international pharmaceuticals, biotechs, devices, diagnostics and allied health areas.
