    Configuring the EVO 1900 Mega Hz with PST 3.1.6

    Press OK

    Select CDMA

    Select CDMA-2 which will bring the check box with it and view will become something like that.

    Now select the right COM port, until the bulb below is turned Yellow.

    Now comes the first TAB CDMA, here you will also press the Write Button

    After that one can exit the PST V3.1.6

    Press OK

    Now disconnect the EVO and then reconnect it again.

    You will be presented with some thing like that.

    Now press Apply

    Press OK

    After disconnecting the EVO, connect it again and press Connect

    And you will be presented with some thing like that, this is to confirm that EVO is configured OK, and it

    is working.

    Now connect EVO to the Business in a Boxand Ethernet port should be connected withthe LAN port on BIB ~ Ethernet port on laptop,

    Now select the Obtain an IP address automatically.

    Now ping the 192.168.1.1, the default IP from the Laptop.

    Now typehttp://192.168.1.1/in address bar of the browser, here the login information should be as

    under.

    Login: admin

    Password; admin

    One should be treated with something like that.

    Now step # 1

    Go to Menu, Management>Update Software

    Tools -- Update Software

    Step 1:Obtain an updated software image file from your ISP.

    Step 2:Enter the path to the image file location in the box below or click the "Browse" button to locate

    the image file.

    Step 3:Click the "Update Software" button once to upload the new image file.

    NOTE: The update process takes about 180 seconds to complete, and your DSL Router will reboot.

    Here browse to the firmware file (6.78 Mb file) AVS920W_PTCL_A_0_33_V1.1.14.img and press Update

    Press OK

    Step # 2

    Now go to the Advanced Setup>WAN Services>

    Wide Area Network (WAN) Service Setup

    Choose Add, or Remove to configure a WAN service over a selected interface.You can add 16WAN services at best.

    ETH and PTM/ATM service can not coexist.

    WAN Service Interface Configuration

    Select a layer 2 interface for this service

    Note: For ATM interface, the descriptor string is (portId_vpi_vci)

    For PTM interface, the descriptor string is (portId_high_low)

    Where portId=0 --> DSL Latency PATH0

    portId=1 --> DSL Latency PATH1

    portId=4 --> DSL Latency PATH0&1

    low =0 --> Low PTM Priority not setlow =1 --> Low PTM Priority set

    high =0 --> High PTM Priority not sethigh =1 --> High PTM Priority set

    Select 3g and press Next

    Here fields should be filled as under,

    APN: should clear the text in this box

    3G PhoneNum: #777

    PPP Username:[email protected]

    PPP Password:ptcl

    Enable FireWall: Uncheck

    Enable NAT: Check

    While the Device Info>WAN should show the newly configured WAN, kindly note down the IPv4 Address

    in front of connected WAN, as in this case 10.18.16.98, is unique and static IP, and when one will call the

    HBL NOC, one should let them know about the WAN IP.

    Step # 3

    Enabling Services of BIB

    Go to Management>Access Control>Services

    Select all of the services and press Save/Apply

    Step # 4

    Disable Wireless and DHCP

    Go to the Wireless> and follow these instructions,

    1. Click Basic tab under Wireless option from left toolbar.

    2. Uncheck Enable Wireless option

    3. Click Apple/Save

    Wireless -- Basic

    This page allows you to configure basic features of the wireless LAN interface. You can enable or disable

    the wireless LAN interface, hide the network from active scans, set the wireless network name (also

    known as SSID) and restrict the channel set based on country requirements.Click "Apply/Save" to configure the basic wireless options.

    Uncheck all of them and press Apply/Save

    Now go to the Advanced Setup>LAN option and provide the LAN IP, which in our case is provided by HBL

    under the heading of CPE in the provided Excel sheet.

    Select the option of Disable DHCP Server, and then press Apply/Save

    Now press OK.

    Now go to the LAN settings of the laptop again and set the IP from range of 10.30.234.1xx, as IP s hould

    be of the same range/subnet as one given on the LAN port of the BIB.

    Now press Add.

    NAT -- Virtual Servers

    Select the service name, and enter the server IP address and click "Apply/Save" to forward IP

    packets for this service to the specified server. NOTE: The "Internal Port End" cannot be

    modified directly. Normally, it is set to the same value as "External Port End". However, if you

    modify "Internal Port Start", then "Internal Port End" will be set to the same value as "InternalPort Start".

    Select a Service: Telnet Server

    Server IP Address: This IP is provided by the HBL under the heading of SSG, which in our case will be

    10.30.234.41

    Now same step should be followed with another service, press Add

    Use Interface: 3g/ppp1

    Select a Service: IPSEC

    Server IP Address: 10.30.234.41

    Press Apply/Save

    Now one has to connect the Ethernet port of BIB with the first available with the Juniper LAN port, and

    should call the HBL NOC, to check whether the BIB box can be accessed.

    Note: Take care to remember the WAN IP on 3g, and the Ethernet port connected with the SSG 20

    hardware.
