PRATINIDHITVA: 1 st INSTITUTE OF LAW MODEL INDIAN PARLIAMENT Concept Note “Pratinidhitva” is the First Model Indian Parliament (MIP) which is being organized as part of Institute’s National Cultural and Sports Festival. Model Indian Parliament is a simulation of Indian Parliament and various other committees where students learn about diplomacy, parliamentary procedure, and political demographics of country. It involves and aims to teach research, public speaking, debating, writing skills in addition to teamwork, critical thinking and leadership ability. Pratinidhitva is an initiative where young minds of this country shall meet to discuss the future of their country. In Pratinidhitva three committees are being set up namely i) Crisis Committee, ii) Constitutional Assembly Debate, iii) Lok Sabha. A total of 150 participants are expected in these committees who will discuss on the issues of national or historical importance to the nation. The event will witness delegates from across the nation speaking on policy issues, discussing the framework and ultimately leading to youth awareness The committees will be chaired by highly experienced executive board which is set to raise the bar of ILNU in the MIP Circuit across the nation. The agendas for various committees are as follows: i) Crisis Committee: The agenda of Crisis Committee is not declared and the committee consists of minister of cabinets. It will be a simulation of a cabinet meeting where issues demanding immediate action of the government will be discussed. ii) Constitutional Assembly Debate: A total number of 50 delegates will replicate the CAD meeting when the founding fathers of Constitution of India sat together to draft the Constitution. The members will discuss on issues like National Religion, National

Concept Note

“Pratinidhitva” is the First Model Indian Parliament (MIP) which is being organized as part of

Institute’s National Cultural and Sports Festival. Model Indian Parliament is a simulation of

Indian Parliament and various other committees where students learn about diplomacy,

parliamentary procedure, and political demographics of country. It involves and aims to teach

iii) Lok Sabha: A committee of around 70 delegates will be formed representing various

parliamentary constituencies and several political group. The distribution will be on

the basis of actual representation of parties in Lok Sabha. The agenda of this

committee will be to debate on Sri Ram Mandir, Ayodhya Reconstruction and

Maintenance Bill, 2015 (श्री राम मंदिर, अयोध्या पुनर्निमािण एवं अनरुक्षण ववधेयक,

We don’t wish our endeavor to be meteoric, but expect it to promote sustainability of knowledge
