73.70 % in 2011 and 71 % in 2012

Higher education institutions
According to data from the Higher Education StatisticsAgency, the figure rose from 39,205 in 2009-10 to 43,835the following year.
India remains second in a list of nations with the moststudents at UK institutions, despite numbers fromChina, which tops the list, falling 2 per cent from 50,755to 49,595.
Among other non-European Union countries with
significant increases are Nigeria, up 16 per cent from9,605 students to 11,135, and Pakistan, up 17 per cent to9,305. The number of US students in the UK rose 8 percent to 15,955, putting the country third in the table.

a. The students admitted to the programme should
spend at least one semester of the course work of the
programme in the Foreign University/institution in its
parent Country.
b. The students failing to secure VISA should be enrolled
in a similar programme being conducted by the Indian
partner Institutions, affiliated to a formal University
recognized by the UGC. For this purpose the Foreign
University/institution, the Indian partner institution and
the concerned affiliating university should enter in to an
agreement/MOU for the purpose. The Intake of such
students will be over and above the approved intake of
the programme being conducted by the Indian Partner
Institution.
c. The degree should be awarded by the Foreign
University/Institution only in its parent Country.
