Program Outcomes

Upon completion of the A.A.S. degree or advanced certificate, COGT

students will be able to:

Possess a skillset of digital tools used in Adobe graphic design

software.

Possess a skillset of digital tools used in Autodesk design technology

software.

Exhibit evidence of visual presentation skills.

Show the ability to conceptualize design solutions.

Course Outcomes

1. Use Autodesk AutoCAD software to create 2D

technical drawings (i.e. blueprints).

2. Use Autodesk AutoCAD software to create

advanced 2D technical drawings with blocks,

annotative objects, external references, and plotted

layouts and other various drafting concepts.

3. Use Autodesk AutoCAD software to create and

design a 3D technical drawing with solid modeling

techniques.

4. Create and design a product in Autodesk Fusion

360 and 3D print the object using an open source Flex

Mendel 3D printer.

5. Create a 3D modeled realistic scene and animate

the scene in Autodesk 3ds Max.

6. Create and design product drawings using a

parametric modeler such as Autodesk Inventor

software. Assembly drawings will be created using

part drawings and presented in renderings,

aminations, or engineering simulation tools.

7. Create, design and engineer a building model

using Building Information Model (BIM) software such

as Autodesk Revit. A construction document set of

drawings will be created. The building model will be

presented in renderings or animation.

8. Create and design sculpted detailed organic

models using Autodesk Mudbox. The sculpted model

will be 3D painted. The scene with the model will be

presented with a rendering or animation.

9. Use Unity software to design and create a basic

video game from game concept through prototyping

and testing.

10. Produce creative images for the computer

graphic industry using various digital photographic

techniques.

11. Create and design a website using CSS, HTML

and Adobe Dreamweaver.

12. Design and build a comprehensive mock-up of a

retail package using Adobe Dimension and Adobe

Illustrator.

13. Create a poster by generating and manipulating

16. Design and create a corporate logo for print

and/or web publications using Adobe Illustrator.

Program Mission Statement: Computer Graphic

Technology (COGT) is a unique program that prepares students for a wide variety of computer graphics-related jobs. Computer graphics training is

utilized in nearly every industry in the world, and typical professional titles include: graphic designer, digital animator, technical illustrator, multimedia developer, web developer, computer game developer, product designer,

drafter, and others.

Program Outcome 1: Possess a skillset of digital tools

used in Adobe graphic design software.

Course Outcome:

Create and design a website using CSS, HTML

and Adobe Dreamweaver.

Tests Three per semester. They do include practical problem that must be done with AutoCAD.

Final Project Based on the student’s academic major.
