I was read i ng through the examples of the Kansas Commission On Judicial Qualificat io ns Advisory EthicOpinion Case s and I ealized that 2011JE-17 1 seemed to be exactly what Honorable Kurtis Loy isdoing in case number 20 1 4LM55P and 2014LM409P. I have included a copy of the court docket for 4/28/2015 that shows that on 2/13/2015 Judge Kurtis loy is still the judge i n the case when the attorney i his ex-law partner Kip Sagehorn of Loy and Sagehorn . I got a copy o f docket number 2014LM409P on 4 - 28-20 1 5 and yet Judge Kurtis Loy is the judge in th i s case as well which isattorney Burton Harding who was previously a partner at Lov, Harding. and Sagehom . It also does not make sense to me why Judge A . J. Wachter recused from case number 20 1 4LM55P on 2-24-2014 and Kurtis Loywould have ac . c . epteda judida l reassignment from h i s past law partner. Why has Judge Kurt s loy not recused from this case?? Please investigate into why Ju ge Loydoes not have to follow the advisory opinion example of 2011 JE-171which specifically says A judge and his or her spouse who owns an office building may lease the building to attorneys or law firms who practice and appear inthe judge's district as long as the attorneys appear before other judges in the district and the conflicts appear only periodically. Judge Loy and his wife Cindy loy according to his 2014 Financial Disclosure Report shows that the building of Loy, Sagehorn Harding, LLC which is112West Fourth Street is owned by Judge Kurtis Loy and his wife Cindy loy.
