Introduction

This presentation has been created to familiarise you with the use of Compass as a Performer. A

preceding presentation should have familiarised you with registering on Compass and logging in.

To learn about an area of Compass,

click one of the folders to the left.

In the My Profile area, you can change

personal details such as your contact

email address and your Contact Centre

support password.

To see more detail about the items

within My Profile, click one of the two

options under the arrow to the left.

To return to the menu, click Back To

Performer Homepage.

Self Service Personal Details

Here you can change your personal

details, such as your correspondence

email address and security question

for your account.

Click one of the options to the left.

Support Password Maintenance

You can update your Contact Centre

support password here. This is used to

verify your identity if you call the NHS

Dental Services helpdesk.

Click one of the options to the left.

Here, you can search for your

performer record and any contracts

you’ve worked on, including your Net

Pensionable Earnings.

To see more detail about the items

within Performer, click one of the

three options under the arrow to the

left. To return to the menu, click Back

To Performer Homepage.

Performer Contract Search

You can view any contracts you have

been attached to here, along with the

history of your estimated Net

Pensionable Earnings.

Click one of the options to the left.

Performer Search

You can review your personal details

here, including your GDC number,

Compass user name and contact

details.

Click one of the options to the left.

Performer Self Service Personal Details

In this area, you can change the details

of your Compass account including your

correspondence email address or the

security question used to reset your

account.

Click one of the options to the left.

This is where you’ll find your historical

NHS Pension records. You can also

carry out tasks such as the Annual

Reconciliation Report (ARR), apply for

Additional Pension and opt out of the

NHS Pension Scheme.

ARR Contract Selection

This area is used to complete the

Annual Reconciliation Report.

Pension Contribution Search

You can view a breakdown of your

pension contributions for each year

here.

Pension Scheme Member Search

Use this section to view Periods of

Service with NHS Dental Services, tier

ratings for each financial year and the

status of any pension forms you have

submitted through Compass (such as

a request for a refund of NHS Pension

contributions).

Pension Tasks

In this folder, you can access a list of

pension request forms that you can

submit electronically through

Compass. You can also track the

status of these forms online using

Pension Scheme Member Search.

Within the Payments folder, you can

access your monthly schedules,

request SFE payments (such as

maternity/paternity pay) and view

payment adjustments that have been

made against your performer number.

Monthly Statements

View and download your current and

previous monthly schedules.

Click one of the options to the left.

Payment Adjustment Update

Here, you can send requests for

payments (such as applications for

maternity/paternity pay) and submit

any evidence required as attachments.

You can also view the status of these

applications here and see any

previous payments made to you.

Payment Adjustment Approval

If you have pending payment

adjustments which require

authorisation, you can view and

authorise them in here.

Request Chargeable Services

Here you can search for FP17 forms

that have been sent to NHS Dental

Services and check your current UDA

figures.

You can reset your EDI PIN number

here.

Activity Search (Detail)

You can search for the status of any

individual FP17 forms here. Compass

will also allow you to make

amendments if you need to change

any of the FP17 details after

processing. These changes will be

reflected on the next available

payment schedule.

Amend Search (Summary)

Use this facility to check your up to

date UDA.

In the Reporting area, you can access

reports that are unique to you (such as

your annual SD86c certificate).
