At home:• Produce or buy a wall freeze showing numbers up to 20 in their bedroom.• Display a “How Tall are You?” chart marking off their growth.Out and about:• Point out numbers that you can see; ask your child to say that number and
“what comes before / after?”• Play car games such as counting coloured cars.• Count steps as you walk; get your child to see how many steps it takes them
to walk from the car to the front door, from one shop to another etc.• Money:• Let your child get used to counting out QR1 notes; play ‘shops’ with them.
Also get your child used to your own currency and, if possible British pounds and pence.
