About usBlacks Fasteners began trading in New Zealand in 1989 from premises in Wordsworth Street, Sydenham, Christchurch. The aim was to supply a comprehensive range of top quality fasteners at competitive prices to customers throughout New Zealand and beyond.

With our team of trained professionals offering unmatched customer service, we have grown to six easily accessible locations around New Zealand - Nelson, Blenheim, Invercargill, Dunedin and two stores in Christchurch.

The huge range of fasteners in our inventory is fully computerised, enabling on-the-spot answers to enquiries, fast quotation turnaround and efficient sales and dispatch to meet our customers requirements.

Inventory Management We also do an Inventory Management system using an Argox PT-18 Portable Scanner. All you do is scan the barcode on the bin or bins, enter and email it through. Storage solutions Indicator® BinsEffective inventory control at a glance! Akro-Mils’ two-toned Indicator® Bins feature an orange reserve section to prevent stock-outs and assembly line interruptions. Never run out of inventory! The Indicator Bin is a simple visual recognition system which shows at a glance when supplies need to be re-stocked. When the bin is emptied to a determined reserve level, simply rotate it and order more stock, replenish then rotate back. The Indicator Bin is an innovative, low-cost alternative to high-end inventory control systems.

Stacker Bins Semi open front small parts storage bins moulded from virgin grade polypropylene, they are extremely strong and durable, have no sharp corners, won’t rust and are very easy to clean. The four bright colours simplify warehouse coding, sorting and identification, while full-size bins can be easily be sub-divided using drop-in dividers. Blumine Island Conservation Project

As part of Blacks Fasteners commitment to New Zealand's natural heritage, we are proud to support a major conservation project currently being undertaken in the Marlborough Sounds. In conjunction with the Department of Conservation, Blacks Fasteners are supporting the relocation of the endangered Yellowhead (Mohua) New Zealand native bird species onto the unique predator-free sanctuary of Blumine Island. This includes the part funding and support of a 2.6 km track which passes through bush teeming with native birdlife.

Kaipupu Point

A sanctuary for endangered native birds and other flora and fauna, is taking shape on Picton's doorstep.

The creation of a sanctuary, Kaipupu Point Sounds Wildlife Sanctuary, was initiated by the Kaipupu Point Mainland Island Society Incorporated in 2005. The Kaipupu Sanctuary is located on Kaipupu Point, between Picton Harbour and Shakespeare Bay, in the Marlborough Sounds.
