‘Due to falling numbers the local council has decided to amalgamate two schools,‘yellow school’ and ‘blue school’. Together these will become the ‘greenschool’.

Yellow school is based in an urban area, it is an 11-16 comrehensi!e. "tudentsfrom the school are mostly from ethnic backgrounds and a large roortionrecei!es free school meals. #chie!ement is below national a!erage. There aremore boys than girls and the staff turno!er in recent years has been !eryhigh.

$lue school is located on the edge of the city and beyond countryside re!ails.

The school includes a small si%th form. There is a low roortion of studentsfrom ethnic backgrounds. The school has no religious leanings although thema&ority of students identify as being from 'hristian backgrounds.

     #chie!ement is slightly abo!e national a!erage.

There is significant concern within both schools and the wider community o!er

the lan amalgamate the two schools. You ha!e been in!ited to &oin a steering grou whose role it is to de!ise a lan to

hel the schools come together effecti!ely.’
