prefaceDear student,

The summer holidays have just begun, while this was being written. It might be that this is the first time that you are reading this booklet, however, it might also be that you are an experienced student going to your next year. Regardless of your level of expertise, it will certainly become a year full of new and fun experiences. You’ll get to know new friends, learn interesting things and you will achieve things you never knew you could.

Even though we all work hard to make our future as bright as possible, life is enjoyable at the Erasmus School of Social and Behavioral Sciences. However, there is one thing that keeps coming back: it is recommendable to do something besides studying. This is where we will help you in. As faculty association of the ESSB, you can become a member at Cedo Nul-li. This will bring you plenty of benefits like our study groups, parties, and trips. Furthermore, you can also become a committee member in one of our committees. As a committee member at Cedo Nulli, you will develop skills in different fields and learn different skills; useful for future employees!

Therefore, you can find all the necessary information in this booklet. In here, you can find which committees there are, what these different committees organise and how to apply for a committee. Hopefully you will enjoy reading this booklet! If you still have some questions for us, do not hesitate to con-tact us and we will gladly answer your questions!

Make this year count!

Kind regards,The XXXIIIrd board of Cedo Nulli

PositionsThe positions within each committee

ChairmanAs the Chairman of a committee you are expected to guide the committee on the right track. You make sure that things get taken care of, that communica-tion stays clear and that the board supervisor is up-to-date on the current state of affairs. Keep in mind that as a chairman you have more responsibilities than other members of the committee. So are you a responsible person who is capable of keeping an overview of what’s going on? Chairman is the way to go!

SecretaryThe Secretary focuses on writing the minutes during a meeting. This is quite an important task: the committee depends on you to read what they need to do. Besides this, you will be answering most of the e-mails your committee gets and processing the subscriptions for activities. Secretary mostly is more of a back-ground role but in most committees you can do some other tasks as well. So would you like to be the backbone in a committee? Become the Secretary!

TreasurerAs the Treasurer of your committee, you will be responsible for the budget. You will learn how to make an estimate and in the beginning of the year you will prepare an estimate for your committee. Sometimes it will be a real challenge and puzzle to let everything fit in the budget, but that’s also the fun part. It’s also your job to keep an eye on your committee members, so they won’t spend too much (or too little) money!

PositionsThe positions within each committee

Commissioner of promotionThe Commissioner of Promotion is responsible for the promotion of the events a committee organises. You will design the banners (in programs such as Pho-toshop, InDesign and Illustrator) for an activity, write a little piece of text to put on Facebook, and so much more! If you are outgoing, creative, have a lot of marketing strategies and all in all feel like you were born to be a Commissioner of Promotion, then search no more, apply for this position now!

Commissioner of external relationsThis year the CER will be responsible for all outgoing contact that is not related to the university. In addition, you will be responsible for adding more contacts to the CRM system. Moreover, using these contacts you can come up with ideas for acquisition. In other words: if you add a lot of contacts and have a good plan of action, your committee may get their hands on extra budget! So, do you want to learn how to lobby and present yourself? Then we want you!

Take note: Some committees have two commissioners of external relations because of disproportional workload.
