Dear Chamber Member: It has been a fun-filled summer in our All American City and I hope that you have been enjoying the sunshine and warm weather.Westland's premier annual event, Blues, Brews and BBQ takes place on August 3 and 4 this year. As in years past, thousands

will be treated to some of the Detroit Blues Society’s most popular acts, amazing barbeque and a wide variety of Michigan’smost popular micro-brews and back by popular demand, a massive firework celebration on Saturday evening. Proceeds from

this event are donated back to area community organizations who volunteer to help plan, organize and operate the event. To date, over $200,000 hasbeen donated to these local organizations. Sponsorship opportunities are always available and we offer an array of packages to fit any budget. Development Corporation (EDC). Thomas retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of active duty and possesses an Associates Degreein Business. He relocated to Westland from Saginaw to accept a position as the General Manager of the Westland Shopping Center in October of 2017.Thomas has 14 years of experience in operations and mall management. The Westland Shopping Center and the City's history are intertwined. Thank you to Chamber members Zeal Credit Union and AirTime Trampoline for sponsoring the Westland Farmers & Ar-tisans Market Kids' Day event on July 19th. Hundreds of kids enjoyed their special day at the market. Zeal representativeshanded out bags with crayons, color-changing pencils andstickers. Children were then able to take their bags to vendorsthroughout the market to get candy, more treats and free bal-loons animals! AirTime Trampoline had jump passes and fidgetspinners and other great swag. Presenting sponsor, Beaumont was there with hula hoops,shopping bags and their POP (Power of Produce program)which gives kids two free tokens for fruits or veggies everytime they visit the market!We’d also like to thank all of our helpers/donors: Friends of

the Library gave away FREE children’s books and videos,William P. Faust Youth services helped with crafts and StateRep. Robert Kosowski Robert Kosowski donated coloringbooks.
