Comenius Trip to France December 2014

Two sixth class pupils along with Ms Moore and Ms Claffey headed off to France on the 3rd of December.We stayed in a place called Le Harve which is around 3 hours North-West of Paris. When we arrived in Le Harve we had dinner with all the other teams (France, Italy, Spain, Slovakia and Poland). The next day we went out to visit the French team’s school.

In France, children come to school from the age of 3. School starts at 8.45 and ends at 4.00!!!! The school had a canteen for all pupils where they get a three course dinner each day. Lunch lasts two hours so there is plenty of time for fun and games too. The girls enjoyed lots of activities with the pupils from the school including art activities and a playing rounders in the local stadium

Paris

After three nights in Le Harve we headed back to Paris where we had a boat trip along Le Seine where we spotted many of Paris’ landmarks including Le Louvre, The Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Cathedral. After the boat trip and some lunch we walked up the Champs Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe. When we had enough sightseeing done we hit the shops and the famous Christmas markets. We went back to the Hotel and had

our last super before our early morning flight home.
