The Liverpool and Manchester RailwayWith the Industrial Revolution we have the world's first railway.

Opened on 15 September 1830, it was 56Km and initially only for goods trains.In 1831 it became a famous railway that allowed people to travel from Liverpool to Manchester.

The first Italian Railway

The first italian railway is the Adriatic Railway. It's 590Km long and was opened between 1863 and 1872.

Milan and Rome Train Stations

Roma Termini is the main railway station of Italy, and the second largest railway station in Europe.

This terminal is composed of 32 tracks

Like Roma Termini, Milano Centrale is the main railway of north Italy.Both stations are important for Italian “high speed” trains.

Frecciarossa and High Speed TrainThe fastest italian train is the Frecciarossa.It's a really important revolution for our country because you can reach Milan from Rome in just 2h & 45m.A new high speed train that will be used for connect Milan and Rome in only 2h will be available from 2015. It will be the fastest train ever produced in Europe with a speed of 400 km/h.

Most expensive type of car, does not pollute the city as it relocates the environmental impact where energy is produced

Eco-friendly cars are very expensive and that’s whynowadays they are so common. In Verona a lot ofhybrid cars are being used as taxis

Founded in 1899 in Turin, it’s the biggest car manufacturer in Italy.

This industry produces over 1 million cars in a year and some of them

are built directly hybrid

Fiat

Ferrari

Founded in 1929 in Modena, it’s one of the most famous car manufacturersin the World. Their cars are very expensive and owning one of them says tothe rest of the world.

Lamborghini

Lamborghini S.P.A. began manufacturing tractors. In 1948 started to produce luxury carsNowadays it is nearly as famous and expensive as Ferrari.

Environmental impact

Electric cars are the future but a lot of gasoline cars are still used and this is threatening Europe’s eco-balance

Historical Ports

Italy has four historical maritime republics:Amalfi, Genova, Pisa and Venezia. Their insignia are still on the flag of our mercantile navy.

City TransportsIn Italy big cities like Milan, Turin and Rome have different kinds of transport systems such as:

City Transport in Verona

The main transport systems are taxis and buses:

TaxisTaxis are usually helping people moving between the train station, Valerio Catullo Airport and the city centre

Urban buses They cover the areas close to the city center and each stop has a bus every 15 minutes

Extraurban buses

They cover all the little towns in Verona’s district(50km far) and they reach even small villages in the mountains.
