What is Being Done???4th / 5th /7th Graders
• 3500 Major Rivers Water Curriculum distributed annually
• 3200 students across the District taught aquifer science, conservation, and aquifer protection in individual classroom settings
What is Being Done???• 4th – Major Rivers and Model Aquifer• 5th – Model Aquifer on Steriods/Major Rivers where needed• 7th – Model Aquifer shifting to watersheds, point/non-point contamination, inaction between
surface/groundwater, ASR, DPR, reuse
What is Being Done???4th / 5th /7th Graders
• Assisted with AgriLife Extension Pizza Ranch educational activity (1400 students)
• BVGCD Water Conservation Field Day - 10 teaching stations- 250 students- Every 5th grader in Robertson County
What is Being Done???Homeowners
• Booth at the Annual BCS Home Builders Association registering water wells, etc.
• Talks to individual groups (Master Gardeners, Texas Democratic Women, others)
• Booth at the 2015 Earth Day activity registering individuals for the Water Irrigation Network

• TV infomercials during the growing season stressing water conservation methods
• Directs the viewer to BV WaterSmart website• Annually budget $21,000 toward the effort• Talks to individual groups (Master Gardeners,
