GUEST HOUSEGUEST HOUSE

THETHE

Weƒcome to

Soon after purchasing Columbia Gardens Winery, we made the decision to convert the second house on the property into a Guest House. Not only do we love hospitality, but it just made sense adding a guest house to the wedding space.

We knew it was going to be a monstrous task, but we set ourselves the target to get it done in the first year… we met that with two days spare!

Decorating StyƒeWe used everything old and unconventional for a rustic vintage ambiance and a soft toned pallette to create a romantic atmosphere.

Old wooden doors became vanities and we turned pallets into kitchenettes and barndoors.

Artwor√The artworks throughout the house are actual photos of the ruins in Kolmanskop – a deserted town in Namibia, the neighbouring country of South Africa. After the discovery of diamonds in Kolmanskop, people flocked to the town to get a slice of the diamond pie. Beautiful houses were built, but soon the diamonds ran dry and Kolmanskop became a ghost town and the once majestic houses were inhabited bydesert sand.
