It gives us immense pleasure to welcome
you to the fascinating and beautiful city of
Delhi. Arrive at the international airport,
where you’ll be met and transferred to
your hotel. Our host will provide you with
our handy India travel kit, containing hotel
and travel tickets. There will be a briefing
with welcome letter outlining helpful tips
about traveling in India. It is recommended
that you spend your first day at leisure
recuperating from the flight.
Few places on earth combine beauty,
history and escapism to such dazzling
effect as the great city of Delhi – the
sprawling and fascinating capital of India.
The title “A Tale of Two Cities” is apt as
Delhi bridges together two different
worlds. The Old Delhi, once the capital of
Islamic India, contrasts with the British-
built center of New Delhi.
OVERNIGHT IN DELHI
DELHI
After breakfast, a daytime tour takes you
through the Indian Capital. In Old Delhi
visit the legendary Red Fort and Raj Ghat
where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated.
Then awaken the senses with an
exhilarating rickshaw ride through the
bustling Chandni Chowk and its back
roads.

New Delhi offers a fascinating contrast:
here, you will stroll along the wide,
straight boulevards and pass the
monuments of the Empire. Walk to the
tallest stone tower in India, Qutub
Minar and continue to the mighty India
Gate.
Designed by sir Edwin Lutyens,
the gate is a memorial to the 82,000
soldiers from the undivided British
Indian Army who died in 1914-21
during the First World War. In
testimonial to their immense bravery,
13,300 names are inscribed on the
monumental gate.
You will also see the Amar Jawan
Jyoti, built following the Bangladesh
Liberation war, bounded by four eternal
flames beneath the Memorial Archway.
Continue to the Rastrapathi Bhawan,
Humayon Tomb and the Lotus Temple.
Return to the hotel.
OVERNIGHT IN DELHI
DELHI - UDAIPUR
In the morning, bid farewell to Delhi and
board your flight to the Blue City, Udaipur.
On arrival, check-in at the hotel. The day is
left free for you to explore at leisure.
Udaipur sits jewel like on the shores of the
Pichola Saga, placid blue lakes, encircled
by an amphitheatre of barren hills, ice-
whipped palaces and exotic gardens.
Arabian Nights a plenty can found in
the evening. From the washing ghats
admire a bright orange sun setting over
Udaipur’s maze of marble towering over
Lake Pichola like a beautiful tapestry.
Watch as the last stroke of sunlight sends
a blazing ripple through the water, ending
in darkness. Delight in delicious Indian
cuisine at one of the fine downtown
restaurants for an optional dinner.

The day will begin with an enlightening city
tour. Udaipur is a place of enchanting
scenery, some truly breathtaking edifices,
like the City Palace and museum along
with the shimmering bronze statue of
Maharana Pratap. You will also visit the
Jagdish Temple and the small, quaint
ornamental garden, Saheliyon-ki-Bari.
Your afternoon boat ride across Lake
Pichola is fittingly spectacular as it allows
you to drift past the washing and bathing
ghats whilst enjoying picturesque views of
the Lake and City Palace.
Return to the hotel.
OVERNIGHT IN UDAIPUR
Day 4
UDAIPUR
Vistas of lush mountain ranges accompany
your morning drive to Jodhpur via
Ranakpur. On arrival, check-in at the hotel.
Jodhpur, founded in 1459 by Rao
Jodha, is a walled city constructed out of
stone carved into buttresses and towers.
Its seven gates teeter on the top of a 400-
foot high outcrop of rock and overlooking
the sprawling city, stands one of the most
impressive sights in Rajasthan: the
Mehrangarh Fort whose walls soar straight
out of the ground: it is a truly remarkable
sight with jaw-dropping views.
The next port of call is the royal
cenotaph, Jaswant Thada, dating back to
1899 AD. This ancient site was built in
tribute to Maharaja Jaswant Singh II and
the Umaid Garden. Return to the hotel.

The Golden City appears amidst the
desert like a mirage of architectural

sandstone, against a clear blue sky,
Jaisalmer boasts superb palaces, havelis,
and shrines.
Want to experience the desert from
exceptional heights? A delightful camel
safari at sunset is the most unique way to
explore the Sam Sand Dunes. Enjoy the
ripples on the windy dunes creating
mystical mirages, simply the perfect place
to take fantastic photographs. Return to
the hotel.
For the ultimate Indian indulgence
we have arranged an evening of
extravagance with the best of Rajasthani
cuisine and culture. Enjoy a traditional
welcome with Arti Tikka & Dhol before
proceeding to the most beautiful spot
overlooking the desert’s soul-stirring

scenery.
Relish the ambience of the hypnotic
folk dances, with the performers swirling
around in a rainbow of colours as they
jingle and clink to the music.
During the winter season, you will
delight in the smouldering flames of a
huge bon fire crackling underneath a divine
sunset.
After savouring evening snacks, sit
down to a royal feast fit for an emperor
with large plump cushions arranged around
a succulent Veg Buffet Dinner.
Swift transfer back to the hotel.
OVERNIGHT IN JAISALMER
In the morning, your journey continues
with a tour of the Golden City of Jaisalmer.
Magic is in the air as we arrive at the
fort also known as the “Sonar Kila”. This
desert palace looks like a huge sandcastle
basking in a sandy whirlpool of gold.

Discover the pinnacle of remarkable
craftsmanship as you behold the sight
of the 12th-15th century Jain temples.
The world’s only living fort cannot be
left out of India’s odyssey!
The opulent mansions of Salim
Singh and Patwonki Haveli both
represent the grandeur of the booming
business town that Jaisalmer once
was. You will find crafted pillars,
spacious corridors and beautifully
painted murals.
From the southeast of the city
walls, visit the stately Gadi Sagar tank,
Jaisalmer’s vital water supply until
1965. Continue to Barabagh Hill for the
royal cenotaphs of Maharajas.
Return to the hotel.
OVERNIGHT IN JAISALMER
Day 8
JAISALMER - BIKANER
After breakfast, you will be swiftly
transferred to the medieval marvels of
Bikaner. Sightseeing includes the
unconquered Junagarh Fort – a mighty
bastion built by Raja Rai Singh to protect
the land from both invaders and the Thar
Desert.
You can also venture outside the city
to visit the village of Deshnok, the quaint
gateway to the Shri Karni Mata Ji Temple.
It dates back to the 14th century, when the
Goddess Karni said her family members
would be reincarnated as rats. Return to
the hotel.

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel
and drive to the Pink City, Jaipur.
Jaipur, founded in 1727 by Maharaja
Sawai Ja Singh II, is a dusky pink pearl
sitting elegantly on the edge of the desert.
Rose painted Mughal palaces slope to the
old town’s bazaars, filled with textiles and
jewellery.
We have lined up an evening of
drama and atmosphere at the world-
famous Sound and Light Show, an
entertaining way to discover the history of
Jaipur and Amber Fort. Return to the hotel.
OVERNIGHT IN JAIPUR
Day 9
BIKANER - JAIPUR
After breakfast, return to the wonders of
Amber Fort, set on a rugged hill with
impressive yellow sandstone battlements
and a craggy façade, it was built in the 16th
century to protect against any threat from
the Mongol invaders. Once guarded by the
Mughal armies, the steep lane up towards
the fort is now lined with splendidly
decorated elephants patrolling the ancient
kingdom. Enjoy the memorable experience
of entering the exceptional fort, perched
upon the back of an elephant.
Later you will drive past the Hawa
Mahal. In the afternoon visit the City
Palace and museum, before continuing to
Jantar Mantar, a structural masterpiece
displaying the science of early Indian
architecture. Return to the hotel.

After breakfast, drive to the Mughal city of
Agra and your hotel for check-in.
Once the most important city in
India, it was subjected to a great deal of
ambitious architecture. Babur, founder of
the Mughal Empire, introduced the first
Persian garden on the banks of Yamuna
River. Your stop along the way is equally
spectacular – built in the 16th century by
Mughal Emperor Akbar, the abandoned city
of Fatehpur Sikri has mystified the world
ever since.
In the afternoon visit Agra Fort,
where Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan spent
his last days. Romance is in the air as we
arrive at the Taj Mahal. Discover a love
poem in stone as you behold the sight of
the sun striking its cupid arrow onto the
huge golden trinket. The Taj was built by
Shah Jahan as the resting place for his
beloved Queen Mumtaz Mahal. What else
but great love could have inspired such
