Session Outline • Re-cap on the story Spike’s Spikes from last session. • Explain that they are going to create their own rainbow bracelet. • Firstly, can they find a mini-rainbow? (Ribbon & pipe cleaner. • Next, can they wind the ribbon around the pipe cleaner. • Afterwards, they can hunt for nature of different shades to poke into their bracket and make it colourful. (Demonstrate how to attach it & discuss which items are suitable/ not suitable.) • When complete, help them to place it around their arm as a bracelet. Differentiation: LA- Help with collecting suitable items & attaching to their bracelet. HA- Can they collect suitable size materials independently? Can they ensure their bracelet has various shades of colours to make a rainbow? Extension: Can they describe or name the nature items they have on their bracelet? Which shades and colours did they find? Has their bracelet got all the colours of the rainbow?
