Description: An introduction of how trends evolve is followed

by a look at how the built environment will look in the years to

come. Four key trends in architecture, color and furnishings

for 2009 and beyond will be presented in this trend forecasting

presentation. This forecast was developed by DuPont Surfaces

with Global Color Research in London, a leading color, design,

and trend studio for both fashion and interiors.

Learning objective: A session designed to inform and

inspire. In our globally influenced ever-changing, ever-moving

world, it is more important than before that the design community

understand the forward trends. Knowledge of these trends

and the underlying influences that drive them will be helpful in

selecting and combining colors for the future projects.

How taught: The CES facilitator utilizes a PowerPoint

presentation to deliver the information. The lecture is followed by

a question-and-answer session. This course may include a trend

book for each of the attendees.

A/V needed: Power, projector, and screen or plasma

screen. The facilitator will supply the laptop and, if necessary, the

projector.

Target audience: Architects and designers at all experience

levels in both residential and commercial markets that are

exploring new ways to look at current and future projects on their

drawing boards. The audience size can vary from one to over 50.

Facilitator qualifications: DuPont Surfaces Color

Trends Forecast CES facilitators have been trained on CES

Guidelines and presentation skills and content. These facilitators

can include DuPont Surfaces personnel or DuPont Surfaces

Distributor sales professionals.

Cost to participant: There is no cost to bring this

program into your firm or chapter meeting.
