BOARD OF EDUCATION CANDIDATE FORUM, THURSDAY, OCTOBER 18, 7PM -- AUDITORIUM: Mark your calendars. Collington's chapter of MaCCRA (Maryland Continuing Care Residents Association) will host a candidate forum for the two candidates for our District 6 seat on the Prince George's County Board of Education. The winners of June primaries for partisan offices here in Prince George's County (like County Executive, County Council, Delegate, etc.) are mostly running unopposed in the November general election. But, as a non-partisan office, the Board of Education is different. Seven candidates (without party identification) ran in the June primaries for our District 6 seat, and the top two will be on the ballot in November; so, we will have an actual choice. Those two candidates -- Carolyn Boston and Belinda Queen – will be here to answer our questions about the Board and their candidacy.
