Lluidas Vale is up in the mountains of Jamaica in St. Cathrine Parish. We are going July 16-25. We will be working with 2 congregations, the Barnes Pen congregation and the Tydixon congregation. We will be conducting home Bible studies, 4 day Vacation Bible Schools and a crusade in the evenings. We will be doing repairs on the building in Tydixon. If you are interested in doing mission work but have not made a commitment in the past, this is a good place to get started. We would love to have you join us. MAIL REMINDER If you wish to send a card to a Belpre family member that attend services, leave them in the card holders in either carport or office foyer and the cards will be delivered within the building. COURAGE TO CHANGE The Courage to Change ministry will begin their special speaker meetings on the third Thursday of the month starting March 19, 2015. The first guest speaker we have scheduled is Brett Hower, our student intern. He will be speaking about the book Gods at War by Kevin Idleman. He will tell how reading this book changed his concept of sin and changed his thinking about spiritual matters. Several of us have read this book and highly recommend it. We have three copies available to borrow from the Courage to Change resource room. Join us March 19 to hear Brett. If you would like to borrow the book, see Mary Ann Thorn. LOVE IN ACTION We want to thank all of our volunteers again. You guys are the greatest! Many in our community have been helped the past few months with utility bills and food. Acts of love are being done daily in our church family. Mark Batterson stated, "We are told to pray about everything, but we can’t just pray like all depends on God. We also must work like it depends on US. When Christianity turns into a noun, it becomes a turnoff. Christianity was always intended to be a verb — more specifically, an ACTION verb. The title of the book of Acts says it all, doesn’t it? It’s not the book of Ideas or Words. It’s the book of Acts. And if we said less and did more, I believe we would have the same kind of impact the first-century church had. When everything is said and done, God won’t say, “Well said, good and faithful servant.” He won’t say, “Well thought,” “well planned,” or even “well prayed.” There is only one commendation He will give: “Well DONE good and faithful servant.” STAFF Jeff Stevenson - Preaching Minister [email protected] 740.378.6632 Travis Williams - Family Life Minister [email protected] 330.546.5620 Brett Hower - College Intern [email protected] 717.471.3151 Jake Keefer - College Intern [email protected] 814.449.6373 Ron Laughery - Preaching Minister, Emeritus [email protected] 740.516.4038 Church Office [email protected] www.belprechurch.com Phone: 740.423.7021 | Fax: 740.423.8333 SHEPHERDS Dan Canada—304.588.4087 Bob Crum—740.516.5960 Marty Clark—740.551.2075 Mark Kaufman—740.678.8053 Jack Thorn—304.482.1933 To schedule an appointment to meet with our shepherds, please call the church office.
