Four-Year University Provides associate, bachelor’s and graduate degrees Offers a well-rounded education and flexible degrees

Community College Offers associate degrees Typically provides pre-requisite courses that can

transfer to a four-year institution

Technical Branch Provides education and training in technical fields Offers bachelor’s and associate degrees

Understanding School Types

Technology Center Offers certificates in several different fields of study Helps students prepare for college and careers

Proprietary School Prepares students for a specific occupation Privately-owned institution
