Summary of Proposed Action (use additional sheet if necessary):
The proposed action is to make modifications to the requirements of the Human Development doctoral
program. The proposed changes to the doctoral program requirements are consistent with similar programs at
peer institutions as well as build upon the strengths of the current faculty in the department. This revision is
designed to:
1) attract research-oriented students to Human Development program;
2) provide new and current students a stronger theoretical and empirical knowledge base that corresponds to
the state of the field;
3) enhance graduate students methodological and statistical capabilities.
