Activities Santa MonicaSanta Monica is a spectacular beachfront city in western Los Angeles County, close enough to the hustle and bustle of busy L.A., yet just steps from the Pacific Ocean. Santa Monica was once the location of Bay-watch, now home to many Hollywood celebrities, and is a mixture of affluent neighborhoods. Students will fit in with the relaxed vibe. You’re able to grab a surf board and enjoy the waves. Nearby are some great attractions for people of all ages, including:

Santa Monica Pierthe Santa Monica Pier is the staple tourist attraction in Santa Monica. the pier is one of the oldest in California, standing now for over 100 years. The pier is also home to Pacific Park, a family friendly amuse-ment park offering a large ferris wheel, smaller rides, and food vendors. The end of the pier has long been a local favorite spot to watch the sunset, and includes amphitheater style seating for viewers loo-king across the Pacific.

VeniceMuch like neighboring Santa Monica, Venice is a trendy residential beachfront area in the city of Los Angeles. the Venice boardwalk draws in hundreds of thousands of tourists every year with its circus-like ocean front walk, running two and a half miles. the pedestrian only promenade features performers, for-tune tellers, artists, and vendors. Venice is also known for its canals, and was named after its sister city, Venice, Italy.

Hollywoodthe glitz and glam of the West Coast is just a short drive or bus ride away. You can walk down the Hol-lywood Walk of fame, see the premiere theaters, and be part of one of the united States most popular attractions. You can also hike the Hollywood Hills up to the Iconic Hollywood sign overlooking all of Los Angeles.

Beverly HillsBeverly Hills, or sometimes merely known by one of its primary zip codes, “90210”, is home to the rich and fa-mous A-list actors and celebrities. But it is more than a famous zip code. Rodeo Drive offers fantastic and exclusive shopping, dining, and the best place to see celebrities in their ‘natural’ environment.

Santa BarbaraSanta Barbara is located on the longest south facing stretch of coastline in all of California. Known for its amazing surfing spots, beautiful scenery, and nearby mountains, it is often described as more “Mediterra-nean” than California. It is just an hour north and the perfect getaway out of the city.

Disneyland & Surrounding theme ParksLos Angeles is home to numerous parks including the world’s first Disneyland. Universal Studios, Raging Waters, Six Flags, and Legoland theme parks are all within an hour and a half drive.
