Sociological Issues Conferenceby CAL TCSJ Students

    LEARNING AT COLLEGE

CAL students of TCSJ from the June 2012 intake jointly organised a

conference on sociological issues. Spearheaded by their Sociology teacher,

Dr Ng Peng Lan, the students were grouped into nine research project

teams and were given diverse topics to present.

The conference served as a platform to present their

research and findings, test their depth of knowledge andunderstanding on the topic, and work together as a

team. As a motivation to all groups, an award was also

presented at the end of the conference for the Best

    Group Research Project Award.

Four groups of students from the CAL (TCSJ)

programme showcased their depth of comprehension

in the given topic (Theory of Demand) by

presenting their ideas and views through video

    presentations, mind-maps and attractive posters.

The presentation was observed by Ms Arlene

Corrigan, the Principal of CAL at TCSJ and her

    colleagues from CAL.

Ms Chian Chom Fon, CAL Economics teacher
