Congratulatory Notes –

Dean Ana Maria Bradley-Hess was awarded the Distinguished College Administrator Award by the Phi Theta Kappa Honors

Society (PTK). This award is given each year to college vice presidents, deans, or leaders for their exceptional support during

the academic year.

Dean Amy Pettigrew was appointed to the National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation

(NLN CNEA) Board of Commissioners. She will serve from March 1, 2015 to December 31, 2016.

The State University System (SUS) began discussions on performance funding plan last year. The set of proposed measures

by which colleges and university will be measured, is currently making the motion through the College System.

Guns on Campus –

Bill is up again for voting. If it passes, individuals with a concealed weapon license will be allowed to carry their weapon on

campus.

Council for Instructional Affairs (CIA) –

Baccalaureate moratorium may be lifted at the end of the legislative session. There are ongoing discussions on creating more

rules and regulations around baccalaureate proposal preparation and submission process. Final recommendations are

unknown.
