Task 1 - Gap Analysis, Investigation Plan & Logistics •  Contract awarded May 14 •  Scope to determine approach to achieving field program

success – deadline first week of June •  Held meetings to discuss lessons learned on previous

projects in the region

Lessons Learned from Previous Work: •  Community based program does not allow for

accurate assessment of weather on sites greater than 100km away

•  Pilot hours can get maxed out during weather delays – reduces progress

•  Remote camp depends on recce flights to confirm that equipment can be mobilized

Result – A robust logistical plan and ballpark cost for the next Task

The Approach – •  Station project team on one of the larger

sites (Rea or Drake Point) to allow for ‘local’ work on weather days and minimize weather disruptions

•  Start program at Eureka/Romulus to allow for camp setup following recce flight

Task 2 – Field Program •  Field Program Contract award in June •  Site reconnaissance needed to determine actual

camp location – Drake or Rea Point •  Task Authorization signed July 10 •  Camp Reconn flight – July 15 •  Location selected – REA POINT

Project Team Mobilization •  Investigation Team to Eureka - July 27 •  Team arrives at Rea Point Camp – August 1
