Retalon collaborative forecast is the way in which supply chain partners can share information to enable superior, seamless forecasting across the chain.

Retalon collaborative forecast is a complement to the Retalon forecast module to allow outside partners and customers to participate in the collaborative forecasting process.

A wide variety of information can be shared through the web: forecasts and sales history data in units and dollars, different types of inventory from stores and warehouse levels, quantities on hand, inventory on order or in transit, back orders, returns, and quantities open to buy. Other useful information includes seasonality, product status, gross margins, promotional uplifts data, daily weights of different weeks in the retailer’s fiscal calendar, performance analysis information, etc.

Based on mutual agreement, partners may see also data at higher business hierarchy levels such as categories levels (style, department, class, etc) or geo-demographic levels (region, area code, city, etc).

Each partner may modify business rules related to his merchandise to improve his planning process, with full confidence that the forecasts generated on mutually agreed rules and policies are consistently accurate. Based on accurately forecast suggested order quantities (Retalon supports both stock and service oriented replenishment strategies), shipment quantities and frequencies are timely and accurate, making the entire supply chain process smooth and finely tuned.
