Athletic Trainer Kipp Nelson KippNelsonhasbeentheheadathletictraineratColbyCommunityCollegesince1998.Nelsonisresponsibleforallnineathleticprograms,providingserviceforpracticesandhomecompetitions.Inadditiontohisathletictrainingduties,Nelsonoverseesthecampusswimmingpoolwhichincludesthetrainingofcertifiedlifeguardsandsupervisingwork-studystudents. Nelsonreceivedhisbachelor’sdegreein1994fromCoeCollegeinCedarRapids,Iowa,whereheearnedtheWallaceOutstandingAthleticTrainerAward.Aftergraduation,NelsonbecametheHeadAthleticTrainerfortheDouglasUnifiedSchoolDistrictinDouglas,Ariz.Duringhistwoyearsthere,hestartedasportsmedicineprogramthatoversaw12sports,aswellassportsmedicineclasses. Nelsonreceivedhismaster’sdegreefromEasternNewMexicoUniversityin1999,whereheservedasthegraduateassistantathletictrainer.Heworkedwithvolleyball,basketball,andbaseballwhileattendingENMU. McCarty Family Farms milks approximately 7,200 cows each day. Approximately 59,400 gallons of milk is gathered. The dairies reclaim 39,000 gallons/day of water from condensing milk. They have reduced the number of trucks required to ship milk by 75%. The number of man-hours required to

build the processing plant was 50,000. McCarty Family Farms currently employs 105 people.
