Joros Oy welcomes coders, hackers, designers and engineers to 24h Industrial Hackathon in Punkaharju. The Hackathon will be cooperated by the Industry Modernization in South-Savo (UTE)- and national DigiSyke –projects.

The target of the hackathon is to develop the productivity, recycling and employee wellness in the target SME, and to get the participating hackers and firms to know each other. Furthermore, the aim is to increase and spread the knowledge of the business opportunities of recent technical development.

The hacking will begin September 23, at 5 pm and end September 24, at 5 pm. Please

Inbound logistics

Although suppliers of Joros are located mainly next to the factory, there are gaps in the inbound logistics process. How could we make the process more lean and efficient?

Lean Manufacturing and Material Flows

How to optimize manufacturing process and material flow so that the lead time will become shorter, traceability of the manufacturing process will get better, and the quality of the products and production will improve? Innovate a solution that solves one or more existing challenges in material flows.

- Quality

- quality control, measurement and documentation of precast concrete elements – possibly by 3D scanning or other imaging methods

Design

Joros Oy has products that they have designed, manufactured and sold under their own brand. They’d like to expand their own product portfolio. Design a new product concept for them.

Environmental and Safety at Work

Create a system that helps Joros to communicate, educate and guide employees towards greener and safer work environment as part of lean

manufacturing process.
