Bike TripJonathan Renard took the troop on a bike trip around Canyon RV Park on April 26-27. They rode for 25-50 miles on trails along the Santa Ana River. Some scouts also completed some requirements for the Cycling merit badge.

Laser TagJacob Cramer planned the Laser Tag trip this year on April 4-5th. We stayed up all night battling it out and playing arcade games at Laser Storm. Everyone was welcome to some midnight pizza and food to last the night, with some doughnuts in the morning. Everyone had a great time and most likely a big nap the next day.

Pancake BreakfastOn May 10th, the troop gathered at Ernie Howlett Park to participate in the Pancake Breakfast organized by Scout Parents Incorporated. Scouts helped cook, serve, and clean up.

Beach CampoutThe troop camped out in San Onofre State Beach. We held Totin-Chip and Firem’n Chit classes for the scouts. We walked to the beach and had fun in the water. Sadly, we weren’t allowed to make a campfire, due to high fire hazard, but we still had skits and a great time. Trip planner was Madison Dunn.

Guerilla WarGuerilla War was prepared by Jeremy Dauer on June 7. Scouts and adults alike gathered to participate in guerilla warfare with water guns. Stations were led by adults and siblings, and scouts had to either capture the flag, or eliminate all the defenders without being shot. Even the adults had a fun time. Where else would you get to spray kids with water guns?

Andrew Choi’s Eagle ProjectAndrew’s Eagle Project was located at Point Vicente Elementary School. He painted the PE storage room and replaced the shelves with newer, sturdier ones. He had plenty of volunteers and everything went according to plan. The beneficiary was pleased with the result.

Alex Lee’s Eagle ProjectAlex held his Eagle Project at George F Canyon Nature Center. He made steps for their porch. It looks great, it went smoothly, and the project was finished a day early.
