CNC update to version 6.10.31 Valid for the machines Zenotec select and Zenotec mini This product information describes the new features of the CNC update 6.10.31. Due to the taking back of version 6.09.05 the new features which were already in there are listed here again. In order to be able to use the extended range of tools in the Zenotec select and Zenotec mini, the version 6.10.31 needs to be installed.

The new version will be available in the download section at www.wieland-dental.de from 25 September onwards. It will be released on the update server on the same day at 12:00.

With this software update, the firmware of version 10.73 is also updated to version 10.79. If the update is installed manually, the firmware update must be confirmed manually. In the case of an online update, this is done automatically.

New features: 1. Compatibility with CAM V2

For the first time, the Zenotec mini with CAM V2 can be operated with the “black version”. 2. Cleaning reminder for Zenotec select in combination with Zenotec hydro

After 70 hours of wet operation (by means of the software, the value can be set between 1 and 200 hours in the production mode) the reminder appears. To continue processing, the reminder has to be confirmed.

3. Exhibition mode

The machine carries out an NC job in an infinite loop with the previously inserted tool without compressed air and extraction (can be aborted manually).

4. Tool data base updated with the current portfolio

All current values and names according to the revised tool portfolio have been included.

5. Reaction in case of negative pressure

In the service mode, there is now a tool tolerance selection. Two different modes can be selected: � Tool measurement with standard tool tolerance (VHF tool tolerance) � Tool measurement with stricter tool tolerance (WDT tool tolerance)

The default value in the CNC software is the standard tool tolerance (VHF tool tolerance). This also applies to the mini series.

8. FTP CNC software update During the FTP CNC software update, the version documentation files are copied from the setup to the Zenotec folder.

9. Materials management without RFID

In the editing mode, the button “Virtual insertion” is hidden in order to prevent materials being removed by the user by mistake, as this would possibly cause a collision with the IPS e.matrix.

In the settings mode, the button remains visible.

10. Machine flag

In the machine software, a button is created to distinguish a Zenotec select with material changer from a Zenotec select ion. When operating the Zenotec select ion, all the wet functions are hidden.

11. Deactivating the flowmeter sensor – only in production mode

If both values (marked in red) are set to “0”, the machine is operated without the flowmeter sensor signal. The signal is ignored.

12. Position marking of the disc when milling dentures

As special holders with positioning aids for the discs are always used when milling dentures with the Zenotec select machines (with and without material changer), there is a risk of milling position markings into the holder or positioning grooves.

In order to avoid this, the denture ID is transferred to the NC file by the CAM unit. Consequently, when a denture milling job is received by the CNC software, the “marked blank position” is switched off for this job, even though it is set active in the service mode.

13. Calibration of Zenotec mini

As of this version, the calibration of Zenotec mini is started by means of a click on the calibration button in the top left corner.

14. Face milling of the measuring sensor

In the service mode, the measuring sensor can be face milled by clicking on the button. For this purpose, the 1-mm ZR/PMMA standard cutter (twin-bladed cutter) needs to be used. By

means of the button, the flatness of the measuring sensor can be measured. For this purpose, a 3-mm pin is used.

15. Workflow of the Digital Denture process for prostheses with a height above 35mm for Zenotec select machines with material changer

After the adhesion of the teeth, some prosthesis have a height above 35mm. If they need to be finished again, it is not allowed to put them into the material changer anymore because they would not fit through the handing over duct. Therefore they have to be inserted directly into the disc holder inside the milling chamber. For this case a workflow is arranged. If the height of the prosthesis is above 35mm the following steps have to be considered:
