SEAT-731 Seat Kit Installation Instructions Club Car Precedent

1. Remove golf car roof and save all hardware.

2. Remove rear struts by removing the hex head mounting bolts from inside sweater basket.

3. Remove sweater basket/SAM assembly by removing the (4) TORX head bolts in the front and rear of the assembly. The seat back can stay mounted to the assembly during this step. Be certain to save all hardware.

4. Remove screws in the rear of the canopy support bracket found under the sweater basket/SAM assembly.

5. Place the vertical seat platform support bracket ends

with the threaded studs through the outside rearmost holes in the bagwell. It will help to have a second set of hands to hold the brackets steady while installing the horizontal footplate brackets in Step 6.

6. The horizontal footplate bracket will be fastened to the underbody of the cart using the threaded studs on the vertical seat platform support brackets. Locate the two threaded studs that were placed through the bagwell in Step 5. Place the threaded studs through the side of the foot plate bracket that has a single hole. Secure the brackets using the included M8 flat washers and M8 lock nuts.

7. Place the tabs on the front of the seat platform underneath the rear of the canopy support brackets. Rest the rear of the platform securely on the vertical seat platform support brackets. Reinstall the rear screws of the canopy support bracket through both the canopy supports and seat platform tabs. Secure the rear of the seat platform to the vertical seat platform support brackets using (2) M8 x 40 bolts, (4) M8 washers, and (2) M8 lock nuts.

8. Place the foot plate on top of the horizontal foot plate brackets and align the four holes in the foot plate with the four holes in the foot plate bracket. Secure the footplate to the footplate brackets using (4) M10 x 70 button head bolts, (2) M10 Washers and (2) M10 lock nuts.

9. Reinstall the sweater basket/SAM assembly over the canopy support brackets and secure using the original hardware.

10. Reinstall factory struts using the original hardware.

11. Remove bag holder and strap assembly from SAM assembly by removing the two TORX head mounting Screws. You can leave the wire mesh screen in place if you plan to reuse it with your seat kit installed.

12. Mount seat back assembly to seat back mounting bracket using (4) M6x25 bolts and (4) M6 washers. If you are reusing the wire mesh screen from Step 11, you will want to leave the seat back loose until it is mounted to the Sam assembly.

13. Mount the seat back mounting bracket to the SAM assembly where the bag holder was removed in Step 11. If reusing the wire mesh screen, slide it between the seat back assembly and the seat back mounting bracket. Mount the seat back mounting bracket using the hardware that was saved when removing the bag holder. Tighten M6 x 25 bolts that secure the seat back to the seat back mounting frame. This will also secure the wire mesh basket.

14. Attach the hand rails to the seat platform at the two mounting points using (4) M10x65 Phillips head screws. Mount the hand rails to the foot plate using (2) M10x65 bolts and (4) M10 washers and (2) M10 lock nuts.

15. Place seat bottom cushion on top of folded seat platform. The seat

cushion should set tight against the cushion rest and be centered on the platform. Place the black nylon strap between the rear of the seat bottom cushion and the deck.

16. Flip the folding portion of the platform up to a 90° angle while holding the cushion securely in place. Locate the (8) seat cushion mounting holes in the platform deck. Use the (8) M6x16 Phillips head wood screws to mount the seat bottom cushion to the platform deck. The nylon lifting strap should be sandwiched between the cushion and the deck to allow for lifting the deck when folding out the seat platform.

17. Reinstall the golf car roof using the saved hardware from Step 1. This completes the installation of your seat kit. Enjoy!
