Clinical Audit Cervical Screening Test Audit2020–2022

Designed to improve the quality of patient care and outcomes, the Sonic Healthcare CST Audit allows referring doctors to participate in a comparative review of their personal practice findings, to better understand the frequency of routine, symptomatic and follow-up patient presentations and incidence of HPV types. It is an independent, Australia-wide program with thousands of participating GPs.

Features

> Delivered online and accessible any time

> Clinically relevant content based on a needs assessment guided by GPs, with measurable learning outcomes

> No minimum number of referrals required; patients included should be representative of your clinical practice

> Comprehensive reporting includes: – Outcomes presented in graphs and tables

for easy interpretation

– Twice-yearly statistical interval reports, providing statistical outcomes compared to your peers and the wider GP cohort

– A summative report following the completion of two consecutive intervals

– Number of patients in each risk category that did not return for follow-up

> Evaluation questionnaires which can be submitted any time

How it works

Register through your local Sonic Pathology PracticeContact details are listed on the back of this brochure. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email.

Enrolment is available to any practitioner who refers women for a CST to any Sonic Healthcare Pathology Practice.

Automatic data collectionClinical data is collected for each of your CST referrals. No additional information is required.

Receive your reportsTwice-yearly, a clinical audit interval report is generated, containing statistically relevant feedback about your own practice compared to those of your peers and the wider GP cohort.

Submit your personal evaluation questionnaire at the end of each reporting period

The clinical audit is based on reviewing the reports and submitting personal evaluation questionnaires.

Comprehensive reporting

Interval reportInterval reports are generated automatically and uploaded to your account twice-yearly. These contain a range of data, tables and graphs to enable you to reflect on your outcomes in comparison to those of your peer groups and the wider GP cohort.

Your interval report contains data that is specific to your practice.

It also provides data including:

> Total number of CST patients by age group, results and sample quality

> Type of testing > Sample validity > Presence of endocervical cells (for cytology samples) > Routine CST vs co-testing by age group > CST risk category by age group > HPV incidence by age group

Summative report New in 2020For the first time, we are pleased to provide a new summative report following the completion of two consecutive intervals. This report is being incorporated into the Cervical Screening Test Audit in accordance with the new RACGP CPD accreditation standard. It will provide a summary of outcomes in the interval reports, enabling you to measure your achievement against the learning outcomes.

Custom Views available on Sonic DxClinicians can generate a list to assist in review and monitoring of their CST patients on Sonic Dx. While reflecting on the outcomes provided in the six-monthly interval report, clinicians can filter patient results for a nominated date range to identify those that require further management, treatment or monitoring. These lists can be viewed on screen (with direct access to the original pathology report) or downloaded for easy patient review and follow-up.
