THE HISTORY OF PSP CONSULTANTS

PSP was formed in January 1989 to provide a service tailored to each client’s specific requirements. The practice enjoys repeat appointments from a diverse client base. We have a rigorous project and cost management approach that delivers solutions on time and within budget. Our philosophy is centred on being efficient and systematic—our mantra is to “make it happen” - We instil a culture of efficiency and discipline for everyone’s benefit so that client objectives in terms of cost, time and quality can be met. The project comprised the complete design and construction of a 325,000-sq.ft distribution centre for Lidl’s South West region. PSP were appointed as Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor and Planning Supervisor. PSP also ensured that direct trade contracts were incorporated into the overall programme

The site included extensive remodelling including therelocation of an existing watercourse.

This project comprised the design and construction of a purpose built warehouse for Robinson Webster Holdings, owner of fashion retailers, Kew and Jigsaw. PSP were Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and Planning Supervisors.

Block D comprised the construction of 31 residential apartments and a complex four storey basement as part of the redevelopment of the Hartley’s Jam Factory. PSP were appointed as Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers

PROJECT PROFILE Client: Angel Property Architect: Munkenbeck + Marshall Engineer: Barton Engineers Value: £7,176,636

A new build development of 38 apartments plus 12 affordable units arranged over three floors. The site was very restricted and the basement car park construction needed careful sequencing to avoid a live gas main to the rear of the site. PSP were appointed as Project Managers, Planning Supervisors and Quantity Surveyors.

This development comprises the change of use and conversion of a former Courthouse including roof extension to provide 25 private apartments and 5 affordable homes. The project requires careful demolition of the existing building as the front façade of the existing building had to be retained. PSP are Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and CDM co-ordinators.

This scheme comprised the conversion and restoration of an existing 19th century former pottery close to Dartmouth Castle to form 9 apartments. PSP were appointed as Quantity Surveyors and Planning Supervisors.

The development comprises a mixture of new build and refurbishment work to construct 17 apartments and 3 retail units. The central part is the refurbishment of a grade 2 listed art deco bakery.

PSP were appointed as Quantity Surveyors, Employers Agent and Planning Supervisors.

Careful demolition of an existing petrol station had to beundertaken prior to construction.

The Pump House, Rotherhithe

A derelict Victorian pumping station complex occupied the site, before conversion into stylish loft apartments. Additionally new residential units were built on the site of a former coal shed. The completed scheme comprised 54 units and involved construction over a London Underground Line. PSP were appointed as Project Managers, Planning Supervisors and Quantity Surveyors.

This development is situated on the banks of the Thames at Kingston. The development comprises the construction of 56 apartments, commercial and office space and a basement car park. At the heart of the development is a new marina construction which also incorporates extensive site landscaping. PSP were Employer’s Agents, Quantity Surveyors and Planning Supervisors for the scheme.

This development situated on the site of a former cinema in the centre of Guildford consists of the new build construction of 72 residential units, leisure facilities, restaurant and retail, with associated car parking and a landscaped piazza area. PSP were Employer’s Agents and Quantity Surveyors for the project.

Benyon Wharf comprised a new mixed build eight storey development consisting of a basement car park, commercial space and 53 live work units. PSP were Quantity Surveyors, Employer’s Agent and Planning Supervisors to the scheme.

Built next to a Royal Charter Market and above a live Thames Water aquifer, this regeneration project comprises extensive utility diversions to facilitate the new build construction of 141 residential apartments, retail space and extensive piazza style landscaping. PSP are appointed as Project Managers

Heartlands is part of a much larger development in the semi rural area surrounding Daventry. The project was designed and progressed in the early stages to allow for the phased construction of three identical office buildings at an affordable price to the client. PSP were appointed as Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers and Planning Supervisors.

The Park Inn Watford was part of a hotel refurbishment split into 3 phases. The scheme involved the refurbishment of 90 bedrooms, 88 ensuites, corridors and the stair / lift core serving the rooms, plus the creation of an additional 10 bedrooms. PSP were appointed as Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and CDM Co-ordinators.
