    Welcome back to the Clever Pants monthly extravaganza!

    We hope you enjoyed the holidays.This month weve got some tasty jokes to get you started,

    followed by primary and secondary classroom activities to

    get your students thinking about their holidays and describing

    them using the past tense.

    Weve also thrown in some info about this years shows, and

    a song activity that is sure to get your students up and shaking!

    Visiting my grandparents

    This summer I visited my grandparents with myfamily - my parents and my brother and sister.

    My grandparents live in a very small village a few

    hours away from where my family lives. There is a

    swimming pool near their house and my brother

    and sister and I sunbathed almost every day.

    My grandfather loves to cook, so every day we ate

    a lot of delicious food. They also have a big garden

    so we could play football outside.Some days we went on a day trip and explored

    places near the village. We saw beautiful churches

    and one day we swam in a lake.

    Because we visit my grandparents every summer,

    I have lots of other friends in the village, so in the

    evenings we hung out with our friends.

    In the evenings we had parties or walked to the

    centre of the village to go to the cafe. Sometimes

    we watched films at home or helped my grandfather

    to make the dinner.

    It was a really fun summer, and I hope we will go

    again next year!
