cleo, the circus lion
DESCRIPTION
little story for childrenTRANSCRIPT
My name is Cleo. I’m a lion, a very big lion. I work in a circus, a very big circus. There, I
have many friends, Monk the monkey, Tig the tiger, Elly the elephant and Holly the horse.
-But look at me; I’m not a happy lion. I’m a
sad lion. I don’t like circus. I don’t like
traveling and living in a cage. I can’t run and I
can’t jump.
I don’t like the sound of the whip in my ears,
it hurts, I don’t like the lights on my face,
they burn and I don’t like standing on a stool
while people are clapping looking at me.
When the show ends, I like sleeping, I always dream of me seated under a
baobab tree.
I always dream of me running away or playing with my friends
I always dream of children taking care of animals and
respecting them.
I always dream of my friends being free
I always dream of Grasslands
