OUR FIELD EMERGENCY SERVICECleanAir Express will ship, overnight and at our expense, any CleanAir Express component to complete your testing in the event of equipment failure. We will do this for any location in the U.S. via Fed Ex Priority Overnight ®. In addition we will also provide a replacement for any competing Method 5 equipment that is compatible with Clean Air components. This service is provided free of charge to any past or future Clean Air customers. We only request that you return the equipment as soon as possible with a brief explanation of the problem you encountered and any ideas you have on how it can be prevented.

Unlike other sample bag materials, Tedlar® fi lm resists gas permeation - both into and out of the bag, assuring sample integrity for all applications. Tedlar® is rated for continuous use from -98 to 225 F. This wide range of operation allows for use in very cold or very hot environments including stacks, vents, and fl ues. Tedlar® fi lm is inert to a wide range of chemicals. Tedlar® Bags are referenced for many EPA methods, including Methods 3, 18 and 40. *Note: We recommend shipping fi lled Tedlar® bags in a rigid carton to prevent damage/discharge during shipping. Do not ship sample bags by air unless the cargo cabin is pressurized. Do not overfi ll sample bags - avoid fi lling the bag to more than 80% of its maximum volume. At the end of the sampling period, turn the pump off and close the valve on the bag.

The Clean Air Method 5 Train is the benchmark of the industry. It is suited to perform isokinetic particulate testing Referencing Federal EPA 40 CFR 60, Appendix A, Method 5 -“Determination of Particulate Emissions From Stationary Sources.” Other pollutants can be col-lected in the impinger portion of the system providing the proper reagent is utilized. A Method 5 Train is the ba-sic equipment for several EPA Reference Methods. Cateco Method 5 Sampling Train

The Method 5 Cateco Sampling Train is similar to the Method 5 train except that it replaces the Modular Sample Unit with a more versatile Cateco Heated Fil-ter Unit. Separating the probe and heated fi lter from the glassware makes this train ideal for testing vertical and hard to access locations. The Clean Air Cateco Method 5 Train is suited to perform isokinetic particulate test-ing Referencing Federal EPA 40 CFR 60, Appendix A, Method 5 -“Determination of Particulate Emissions From Stationary Sources.” Other pollutants can be col-lected in the impinger portion of the system providing the proper reagent is utilized. Many components of the Cateco Method 5 Train are also basic equipment for several other EPA Reference Methods. To be used as a dry gas meter calibration reference, the Clean Air Engineering Ex-press Critical orifi ce offers 1/2” stainless steel quick connects with an internal stain-less steel orifi ce plate. The double-wall aluminum constructed heated fi lter unit is an excellent alternative to the much larger Modular Sample Unit. It is ideally suited for applications that require vertical sampling. The case is extremely lightweight and durable, and heats quickly with its small heating area. The probe is mounted through an aluminum arm identical to those used on the Modular Sample Unit. Electrical connections are compatible with those used in the industry. It is designed for use with Clean Air Express stainless steel or glass fi lter holders.

The light-weight aluminum sample unit oven compartment is used for testing methods that require an out-of-stack heated fi lter. This unit features a rugged cast aluminum probe support arm, monorail support hanger, Impinger compartment slide rails, and two access doors. The condenser utilizes a straight quartz tube fi lled with quartz wool surrounded by a temperature regulated water bath. No recirculation pump or external water heaters are re-quired. The JES 300 series heated gas sample probes are designed for continuous use with extractive sampling systems—even where the sample contains dust, aerosols, water vapor and corrosive gases and in situations where the gas must be kept free of contaminants prior to hot analysis or sample conditioning. The JES 300 incorporates a non-corrosive heated, replaceable ceramic fi lter element with a fi lter porosity of 2 microns. The fi lter is mounted in an electrically heated, stain-less steel housing. The fi lter housing is thermally insulated and enclosed in a weatherproof case. The JES 300 uses a microprocessor-based temperature controller. The temperature controller is user-selectable from 32° F to 375° F.

The 3 Point Probe makes CFR Part 60 & Part 75 RATA sampling as easy as 1,2,3. The electrically actuated stainless steel ball valve allows 1 of 3 user defi ned traverse points to be sampled. A calibration gas tee is included on point1. Sample points 1, 2, or 3 can be selected manually at the probe (Local Mode) or from remote dry contacts or data logger (Remote Mode). The #0735 Dilution Control Panel is designed to be used with the #0732D Dilution Probe for monitoring gaseous emissions with EPA reference method analyzers. The control panel features fl ow control of calibration gas and blow back air, adjust-able dilution air pressure, digital gauges and 0 - 2 vdc analog output for dilution air pressure and orifi ce vacuum. The Sintered Stainless Steel Fritted Filter is an excellent choice for keeping particulate out of your probes and lines. These 20 micron frits are cleanable and feature durable long lasting stainless steel construction with 1/4” NPT connection or connection of your choice.

The disposable inline fi lter has a semi-transparent Kynar housing with 1/4” O.D. tube ends and a micro-fi ber fi lter.

Silicone Rubber: Two layers of silicone rubber infused with fi berglass are vulcanized together and enclose the multiple strand wire resulting in a rugged yet fl exible sheath with excellent moisture, chemical and wear resistance. Maximum temperature rating for the heat tape is 500 °F. The thickness of the fl exible silicone rubber heater is 0.06”. The industrial heaters have silicone insulated wire leads of 2’ @ 18AWG. The silicone rubber heater is used in the majority of probes manufactured by Clean Air Express. The fl exible heaters length ranges from 35” thru 600”. The silicone rubber heaters power supply ranges from 120 volt to 240 volt.
