Students at ESPOL have benefited from a strong international environment, in which 30% of the student body is composed of international students. This has exposed our students to the wider dimensions of the economic and political sciences and provided them with the skills to develop their talents in the contemporary global job market. 2017 was also marked by the graduation of the first cohort of our Master’s Program in Global and European Politics, which welcomed students with different backgrounds and from all over the world. Prospective students will appreciate that the student experience at ESPOL strengthens the intellectual background and opens doors for accessing emergent opportunities in this fast-moving world. Securitizing Immigration : Examining the Effects of the European Union Immigration Policy on Migrant Women

I interned for four months at the International Juvenile Justice Observatory, a children’s rights NGO with headquarters located in Brussels, Belgium. I primarily assisted with the management of European projects about the efforts to prevent youth radicalization. I helped by writing policy papers, proofreading, translating from French to English and representing the organization at European Union events and conferences. I helped with the planning of two project conferences and provided spontaneous English interpretation at one of them (yikes). It was a wonderful way to learn about the functioning of NGOs on the European stage
