23. At 6:05 pm, it was moved by Mr. Fuchs and seconded by Mr. Priore that

the meeting adjourn and move to Executive Session for the purpose of discussing matters leading to the employment of a particular person and to discuss pending litigation strategy.

It was moved by Mr. Stock and seconded by Mr. Fisgus that the Board approve the following: the Financial Reports for June 2017; the Schedule of Bills; the Check Warrant Report; Free and Reduced Price Meals; to set the Tax Rates for the 2017-2018 school year (a copy is attached); the District Safety Plans; Amendment to State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA); Fire Inspection Reports 2017-2018 and to accept the Internal Auditor’s report for June as submitted and recommended.

It was moved by Mr. Stock and seconded by Mr. Boglioli that the Board approve the following Instructional Staff Personnel Changes as submitted and recommended: RESIGNATION Acceptance of the following instructional resignation: Ann Craig, CMS Grade 6 teacher, resigns for retirement purposes effective November 17, 2017. Jessica Murphy, CMS Special Education teacher, resigns effective August 14, 2017. REQUEST FOR LEAVE OF ABSENCE Amy Stewart, Harris Hill Grade 3 teacher, requests a child care leave of absence from her position effective September 5, 2017 through June 30, 2018. APPOINTMENTS Approval of the following instructional appointments:

NAME: Kathleen Bassett TYPE: Part-time (.3 FTE) SUBJECT AREA: Music BEGINNING DATE: September 1, 2017 ENDING DATE: June 30, 2018 CERTIFICATION STATUS: Holds Professional Certification in Music ANNUAL SALARY: $43,355 prorated, MA, Step 3 ASSIGNMENT: Mrs. Bassett earned a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Butler University and a master’s degree in music, Piano Performance from Cleveland State University. Kathleen taught in the Lakewood (Ohio) City Schools for three years and at Immaculata Academy for five years. She also currently teaches on a part-time basis at Sacred Heart Academy. ASSIGNMENT: Miss Cochran earned a bachelor’s degree in Adolescent and Special Education from Niagara University and is currently completing requirements for a master’s degree in Literacy through SUNY at Buffalo. Sara served as a regular substitute teacher in the Niagara Wheatfield School District for the past two years. She replaced Brandon Bernard, CMS Special Education teacher, who resigned. NAME: Raquel Huber TYPE: Regular Substitute SUBJECT AREA: Special Education BEGINNING DATE: September 1, 2017 ENDING DATE: June 30, 2018 or earlier at the discretion of the Board of Education CERTIFICATION STATUS: Holds Initial Certification in Students with Disabilities 7-12, Generalist, English Language Arts, Literacy B-6 and 5-12 ANNUAL SALARY: $41,930, MA, Step 1 ASSIGNMENT: Miss Huber earned a bachelor’s degree in Adolescent Education from Medaille College and a master’s degree in Literacy from SUNY College at Geneseo.
