• Manage in intensive system

• Swelling at ventral part of neck 2 weeks before

Physical Examination

• BCS :3/5

• T : 39.2, P : 72 , R : 60

• Left quarter of udder : swollen & painful, thick & reddish milk was observed

• Right quarter : Hard

• 8x6 cm swelling at right submandibular lymph node.

• Bilateral popliteal lymph node enlargement ; 3cm

Tentative diagnosis

• CLA

• Mastitis

Diagnostic work-up

• Milk to Bacteriology

• FNA of mass to bacteriology and CP (cytology)

Treatments

• Oxytetracycline 1 ml/10 kg, 3ml ,IM, Once

• Intramammary drug infusion : Not successful

Result

Bacteriology lab :

Milk : Staphylococcus aureus, Arcanobacterium spp.

FNA (pus) : Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis

Presence of numerous degenerative inflammatory cells

Client education

• Owner were advised to cull the animal

• Separate the animal to avoid transmission

• Observe if other animal develop the same signs
