What have we seen?

There were two places which we had visited the 1 st one is the exhibition

by Cosima von Bonin which was located at the Witte de with; an culturalart centre in Rotterdam. To be completely honest I didn¶t like it. It didn¶t

matter in what way I looked it at I couldn¶t bring myself in liking the plush

stuffed animals and cloths. It just isn¶t my sort of thing. I wrote a report

about it in which I didn¶t write objectively enough which was told me later

by Mr. Van Druten. My reaction to his statement was: ³but you never told

me that I had to write objectively´ later on in this essay I will write more

about that but just to make things straight we cleared it out. Because my

report wasn¶t written objectively enough I actually had to do it all over. Ididn¶t want to and changed the content a little bit after which I informed

Mr. Van Druten who told me it was a little bit better. After I was finished

with my report I tend not to think of it again even though I got reminded

of the word Objectively for all my other reports.

The other place where we¶ve been was the fotomuseum in Rotterdam. Iwas kind of excited at first when we had done some pre-work at school

talking about the radicalism part of the exhibition, but when we got there

I got really shocked. I like photography, I like seeing things I haven¶t seenbefore but this exhibition didn¶t trigger anything I had in mind of it. I can¶t

really describe how and why but I really wasn¶t into the topic anymore.

The extra assignment which we got there also didn¶t help me to get

motivated in which we had to make pictures in something we feel strong

about, I feel strong about anti-racism because racism is a bad thing, I will

not argue my point over this because I will never change my mind on

racism.

Likes and dislikes

What I liked about Ckv was the freedom, even though it made me bored

sometimes. I could do what I want whenever I wanted as long as it was

finished at the end of the year. I really liked it that Mr. Van Druten

actually tried to interact with us instead of other teacher pushing us away.

I actually liked the assignments in which I wasn¶t bound to the rules of my

pallet book and could do what I wanted to do (visual assignments) and

the working in groups always have been one of my things which willalways end up high on my list because team-work is the best work that

can be made.Everyone got likes and dislikes even I do. One of the dislikes I got is the

organization in the beginning of the year, I didn¶t know what I was

supposed to do and what was expected from me as a student also I didn¶t

know what to expect to Mr. Van Druten even though he tried his best

since this is his 2nd year teaching Ckv. The last thing I didn¶t like was the

limited/limitless perimeters in some cases I had unlimited possibilities totackle my difficulties but I actually want to have a certain amount of 

options. The limited part is the reports I found out really late that I could

also make a film report which was something I like to do more than just

writing a complicated report of 8 pages.

Final talk with Mr. Van Druten

I have had my final talk with Mr. Van Druten we spoke about the process

in work and he asked us what we thought of Ckv. I won¶t go in any detail

about this anymore because it is also written in my likes and dislikes

section. We discussed how it could have been better and I know Mr. Van

Druten will use some of the advice I gave him such as giving feedback and

have a little bit more structure. The final talk was a success and I left

home for the day with a good feeling about Ckv.

Final conclusion

Even though at 1st side I didn¶t like Ckv putting my thoughts on paper like

this made me realize that even though there are some uppers anddowners I have definitely learned something. I learned how to think

objectively even though it¶s still hard. I discovered that my talent lies in

presenting with my voice instead of showing something and let peoplemade up their own ideas about it. Even that is what I learned at Ckv. Even

though you know what it means look for something else. It gave me some

great memories which I hope will never leave me.
