    ROUTES FOR NATURE AND HEALTH TRAIL SYSTEM

    1. Waterfront Boardwalk1.1 Victoria Park BoardwalkDistance 1.3 KMFor use by walkers and joggers only, start at Victoria Park pool to Beaconsfield House.

    1.2 Victoria Park Boardwalk to Confederation LandingDistance 3.5 KMFor use by walkers and joggers only, start at Victoria Park pool and walk the boardwalk toBeaconsfield Historic Home. The next portion follows city sidewalks. Turn right on to West Street,then turn left on Richmond Street, turn right on Rochford Street and make a final right on SydneyStreet and proceed to the end of the street, and return to the boardwalk. Follow the boardwalkaround the Queen Charlotte Armory. Proceed to Water Street and turn right. Follow the sidewalk tothe Charlottetown Yacht Club. Behind the Yacht Club the boardwalk continues toward the DeltaHotel and proceeds behind the hotel to Peakes Quay Marina and Confederation Landing.

    1.3 Confederation Landing to Friendly PharmacyDistance 1.6 KM For use by walkers and joggers only, begin at Confederation Landing Park and proceed through thepark. Proceed to the boardwalk in behind Founders Hall, towards HMCS Queen Charlotte. Walkalong boardwalk behind the Friendly Pharmacy.

    1.4 Confederation Landing OvalDistance 0.2 KMFor use by walkers and joggers only, locate within Confederation Landing.

    2. Two Park ConnectorDistance 2.7 KMThere is a connecting road and sidewalk that begins at the Victoria Park pool and runs along NorthQueen Elizabeth Drive then along Charlotte Drive and then North along Edinburgh Dr then turnright onto Nassau Street, then left onto Sunset Drive, turn left onto Moreau Drive, then turn rightonto Spruce Street. This will take you directly to Queen Elizabeth Park.

    3. Queen Elizabeth Park TrailDistance 0.9 KMThis gravel trail starts at the parking lot of Queen Elizabeth Park and goes behind the tennis courts,goes out behind the sports fields and finishes back at the parking lot.

    4. Hermitage Creek Trail Distance 1.4 KMThis gravel trail is located off North River Road next to Charlottetown Rural High School. Thispath follows along both sides of the Hermitage Creek.

    5. Ellens Creek Sidewalk ConnectorEllens Creek to Beach Grove RoadDistance 1 KMThis sidewalk starts at the Ellens creek bridge and follows along the beach grove road along thesidewalk. The finishing point is at the entrance of the tree nursery.

    6. Beach Grove Trails6.1 Beach Grove LoopDistance 1.5 KM This gravel trail is the main loop around the Beach Grove woods, beginning at the entrance near thetree nursery off the Beach Grove Road.

    6.2 Maypoint Entrance LoopDistance 1.5 KMThis gravel trail entrance is off the Maypoint Road and makes a loop along through the BeachGrove woods and back to the entrance.

    6.3 Old Gazebo LoopDistance 1.4 KMThis gravel trail begins behind Beach Grove Home with is at the end of Beach Grove Road. Itmakes a complete loop around the Beach Grove woods.

    7. Boardwalk to Joe Ghiz Park ConnectorDistance 0.5 KMA portion of the trail is a gravel pathway, which starts at the Friendly Pharmacy and proceeds to theGrafton Street & Riverside Drive intersection. The remaining section will be sidewalk. Which will

    continue to Joe Ghiz Park, but the sidewalk is currently not developed.

    8. Confederation TrailDistance 11 KMThe Confederation Trail begins at Joe Ghiz Park and follows through the City of Charlottetownalong a gravel pathway. The trail passes Royalty Junction Road where it reconnects with the Islandwide Confederation Trail. Provincial Maps of the complete Confederation Trail are also available.

    9. Riverside Drive Path Distance 1.5 KM The asphalt path begins at Park Street and runs along Riverside Drive and ends at Murchison Lane.

    10. Hillsborough River Path Distance 1.2 KM This asphalt path begins at the corner of Riverside Drive and Murchison Lane, and runs along theHillsborough River, ending at Hillsborough Hospital.

    11. Hillsborough Park PathDistance 0.8 KMThis asphalt path connects to Hillsborough River Path and runs along Murchison Lane and turns leftand runs along Patterson Drive, ending at Pioneer Avenue.

    12. Riverview Estates Connector PathDistance 1 KMThis asphalt path connects to the Hillsborough Park Path and runs along Prom Acadian Drive andends Mariner Drive.

    13. Waterview Estates ExtensionDistance 0.6 KMThe gravel trail is located across from Hermitage Creek Trial off the North River Road the trailproceeds behind Waterview Estates Apartments.

    14. Wrights Creek Nature TrailDistance 1.8 KMThis is a nature trail, which starts at the wooden bridge next to Riverview Estates and continuesthrough a wooded area and ends at St. Peters Road.

    15. East Royalty Nature TrailsDistance 2.5 KMYou enter the trails from the Robertson Road or Prom Acadian Drive. From the Prom AcadianDrive, you will cross the Acadian Drive Wooden Bridge and follow along the old access road.There are a number of nature trails throughout the wooded area.

    16. Victoria Park Nature TrailsDistance 4 KMThere are a number of natural walking trails throughout the wooded area within Victoria Park.

    17. Andrews Pond Nature TrailDistance 0.9 KMYou enter these natural trails off Elena Court or Hebert Street, which proceed around AndrewsPond.

    18. Victoria Park Bike LaneDistance 1.2 KMThis is the inside paved roadway of Victoria Park which is closed to traffic from the beginning ofMay until the end of October and turned into a bike lane. Walkers and joggers are reminded that thecycling lane is not intended for pedestrian traffic.

    19. Brackley PathDistance 1.1 KM (within City limits)This is an asphalt path that runs along Brackley Point Road, starting at Maple Hills Avenue andheading out to Brackley.
